1) Congrats to Fallon for riding the hair off that horse and doing so well. She was really fun to watch!
2) If you wear a helmet, cool
3) If you wear a hat, cool
4) Congrats to ALL the ladies that ran at the NFR this week. While some had a better week than others, they are all amazing riders with extremely talented horses (or they would not be there!). They are all champions, and I enjoyed watching the skilled riders and beautiful horses.

I wear one sometimes when I'm on a green horse but not usually. However, it's hard to argue with the fact that it truly is the smartest thing to do. It's like wearing your seat belt in your car....it's for the unexpected accident not for the normal everyday thing...preparedfor the worse case scenario and be safe rather than sorry.
I've seen Tony ride...it was definitely in his best interest to wear a helmet. |

| All I have to say is your brain isn't fully developed until you are 24. I believe that it should be mandatory for 18 and under to wear a helmet. Also I love Fallon Taylor's outfits and she made awesome runs! |

Ok, it's admirable that she has overcome such a serious injury and other hardships to become a world champion. Maybe she does deserve it, I'm not one to decide that. But for me it's all about impression. For me the impression is not a good one. She thinks she needs to be all in your face flamboyant, putting herself out there to be noticed. She is throwing herself out there to be noticed by her look, and not her ability. Which is her choice. It is also my choice to not agree with it. I don't know her, I don't know what she's like without the glitz and glam. To me it's better for a Sherry Cervi, Lisa Lockhart, Michele McCleod, and Mary Walker to be a role model. They quietly and humbly kick ass. For me that's what it's all about. Let your actions speak louder than your words and how noticeable you can be. They don't go out and disparage others who criticize them. They don't need to. I lost all respect for Fallon when she made her "couch jockeys that can't get out of the 4D" comments. Then she backtracked and tried to do damage control. Didn't work in my mind. She doesn't know how many "couch jockeys" there are out there who know what they are talking about. One thing I have learned in my many years is you can never know everything and you can always learn from someone. If somebody tells me I am doing something wrong and give me advice to fix it, I will take their advice and try it. Most of the time it works. Sometimes you can be so closed minded that you are only handicapping yourself. There are some things that she could do different, but hey, she's world champ. Who am I to point them out? Just sayin'.
There. That's my two cents.

I think you missed the memo. I know she missed this one:

| I'm curious as to how many of you have ever ACTUALLY interacted with Fallon.. I mean, shook her hand, spoke with her, had an actual transaction or conversation with her. I'm also curious as to how many of you have practically single handedly created a brand, horse business and boutique and never made mistakes...
On top of all that, she managed to hit almost 100 rodeos, qualify for the NFR, and WIN THE WORLD. Certainly none of you on this thread can say the same.
Lots of you don't like her color and braziness. I also feel like some of you are just flat out jealous and hateful. Fallon LOVES media, I say that and hope you take it with a grain of salt... Media=her fans, money to keep her going down the road, and more MONEY, TALK, INTEREST for rodeo.
Fallon is a love me or hate me type of person, that's no secret. But some of the "hate" coming from you ladies goes beyond your "opinion". It's tasteless and quite frankly immature....
I really hope that all of you that have so much to say about her run into her somewhere, someday. You can feel the genuine kindess and love of rodeo and all that comes with it radiating off of her...
It says a lot to to have so much to say about someone you have never actaully met, or had any kind of business dealings with besides what you heard. I bid you all luck in scrubbing the green off of your faces tonight before bed.
Remember JEALOUSY and HATE are ugly on everybody, a hell of a lot uglier than any helmet or outfit Fallon wears.
MERRY CHRISTMAS

Location: Peach State | I'm not a "fan" of Fallon, but I'm certiantly not a "hater" however I wish Lisa Lockhart would get more attention for how great of a role model she TRUELY is. I love what she said in an interview this week..." Barrel racing is what I do not who I am" She is a mom and wife first and geniuely appreciates her ability to barrel race on the professional level but it's not her whole identity. |

Β I can't hate or be jealous of someone I don't know. Your comments here are no better than the opinions about her that you don't agree with. Do you know those of us who share our negative opinions? Maybe some of us have interacted with her. I haven't, but I already stated my case. That is my prerogative. Just like it's your prerogative to share how you feel. To call anyone a hater or jealous doesn't justify anything. |

Every time I see her ride it is like she is riding hell bent for leather! I really like that! As you all know I don't ride horses but have just bred them but I use to be a ski racer back in the glory days and Fallon rides like a Giant Slalom and Down hill ski racers. Just go for it and see what happens! I also liked that she wore the helmets! I didn't know they came in all those colors! |

I know and love Tony. I have much respect for the man. He is the most kind hearted individual that anyone could ever meet. He did not however, train Red Man Bay! He rode him, as did a lot of other people. He won a pile on him, as did a lot of other people, both before and after Mr Tony. |

 Go For It!
Location: Texas | It's funny how someone "popular" does something and suddenly it's the cool thing to do. Many of us have been wearing and endorsing helmets for awhile now, yet no one really pays attention. Since I started wearing one, I have had a few people ask me about it, but I still see them without one. It's just not "cool". I even wear them at the rodeos, it's way cooler than a brain injury... Maybe now that someone young, & at the NFR, wore one it will catch on. Personally, it doesn't really matter to me if people wear one or not, it's your brain that is at risk and if vanity is more important to you than a helmet - well more power to you! :)
