Look at it this way, if during WWII, Japanese and German immigrants had been allowed into the U.S., there's a 100% guarantee many of them would have been potentially dangerous infiltrators. Banning people of certain religions won't work. Unless something has changed, there's nothing on US passports that indicate a person's religion. Even if we could, it won't be done. For one thing, terrorists are good liars. They'll just claim to be some other religion.....maybe even Christian. The best and most realistic thing that we can do is to suspend to ban immigration from certain countries known to be sources of terrorists. We can start with Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Libya, and Iran, and add to the list. I think Gitmo needs to be kept open so we can imprison terrorists until their asses rot off. Saying it is a "recruiting tool" for terrorists is an outright lie. Eliminating Gitmo will do nothing to curb terrorists. Even if we suspend immigration from certain countries that won't eliminate the problem. They already are spread throughout the world....France, Germany, Spain, Belgium, Great Britain, etc... Then there's the problem of radicalization of our own US born citizens, such as the Orlando ISIS recruit. Gun control will have no effect on terrorist plots and activities, except to probably increase their success rate. I think one of the biggest keys to minimizing terrorist attacks here at home lies in good intelligence and repeatedly cutting off the heads of the beasts, and cutting off sources of funding.....as Trump suggests. In addition, we need to force Middle East countries to fund our efforts and fund the creation of safe zones in the Middle East......as Trump suggests. They will quickly figure out a way of infiltrating organizations like ISIS and obliterating them, as soon as they realize this hurts their bottom line and we will no longer do their dirty work for them without compensation. Obama has been feckless and limp wristed in his efforts. Hillary will be at least as bad. Trump is someone they'll respect and take seriously.......because, after all, he's just a wee bit crazy and unpredictable.

They only care about the victims in as much as it provides them with yet another crisis they can use to advance their agenda. They take Trump's plan to build a wall and point out how the wall wouldn't have prevented the massacre, even though nobody made that claim. They keep pushing the notion that Trump is a "racist" and "anti immigration". He wants to keep people from illegally entering this country across the Mexican border, so that makes him "anti immigration". It's not even subtle how they lie and distort. They do it because it works. It works because their base has a betz cell deficiency and they are gullible lemmings.
