Slick had a slip on that same barrel. Seems like I remember someone else slipping there too but can't remember who. There goes my awesome story telling skills again.
Wasn't Sherry who had a slip on that second barrel on Stingray last year and had to use George..I believe it was in the 9th round..... ??? |

It was a later round but I can't remember which. I want to say she ran George one night and then got back on Stingray? |

I'm a horrible story teller but I watched an interview that may or may not have been with her brother Tuff? and he said Pendelton was harder on Trevor than Shada. She really needed a good check from that rodeo to make the Finals. He was a nervous wreck and she said - it'll be ok. |

She went all the way down with Stingray & came off at the second barrel. I know it was a later round & rode George but that's about all I can remember. That barrel gave quite a few girls problems yesterday. |

I am on this bandwagon as well. I feel for the girl. I can't even imagine being married to a superstar like Trevor let alone make it to the NFR right alongside of him!!!
While I am anxiously awaiting and hoping Sherry takes it all, I find myself pulling harder for Shada to get up there and pull a big check. I hope she had a ton of fun this year and she comes back again next year! |

| I think this is the strongest and most competitive group of gals that I can remember at the NFR. At the start, I really think any one of the 15 could have been on top. It has just come down to who is having a better week, not necessarily on competitive ability. Fun to watch! I'm rooting for all of them to collect a check!  |

 I thought she was yelling look out to the guy standing square in the middle of the alleyway looking the other way. I wasn't sure who it was or why he was there, but he is lucky she was watching for him. |

Maybe it's not what the horse needs but it sure stood out to me. I'd read an article (and someone posted it on one of these threads) that she had broken her tailbone this year and had really bad nerve damage that was incredibly painful. I wonder if that's still bothering her. I'd love to see her get in the money before the week's over.
I was so rooting for Sherry to get in last night - she's made money in every round! Can someone clarify- I saw this on FB maybe, does she get a Ram truck if she does it in all 10 rounds?
And of course- props to Taylor & Bo! Well in that case, I don't blame her. Sabrina is another quiet rider....and it kind of bothers me! I want all these girls to do well but I see a lack of hustle in some of them. But I don't know if I could rodeo 10 days in a row....but for that money, I would be whipping and spurring the whole way. Is anyone else noticing how important it is to get that nose? Makes me really think back to a YouTube video I saw with Danyelle Campbell and her talking about pulling to the hip to get the nose instead of lifting up which stiffens the rib cage. Easier said than done, but you really see it Up close and personal in these runs. I have to say that I do not like all that whipping. I'd like to see what some horses would do if you took away the whip. I might do a little neck slap but I really don't whip my horses unless I feel they are cutting me off at the s/f line, but I really don't like the ones that over do it on the way out. I rode another horse that would sulk up n not run at all if you spanked her.
my horse is one of those that doesnt like whipping and I dont use spurs. I cant tell where some horses speed up when they are whipped. I know I wouldnt like someone to whip me to make me go faster. |

I have a video of my buckskin (when he was 4 or 5) actually looking 1/3 of the way back around at me when I got him with my over and under on the way out of the pen. And of course, it slowed us down! After that, I'd just shuck my hands between his ears and hustle with my voice and body....no more whip for him! |
