HotbearLVR - 2014-03-10 6:33 PM I didn't know that TxDad is gone.  Who says?  I thought I read one of his posts not that long ago.  In fact, I think he said something to the effect that men shouldn't be in barrel racing!  Ha Ha Ha!!!  I'm pretty sure he said something like that.
I never see him or his wife on the boards any more. I was just wondering where he went? I'm assuming DD2012 or RWR or whatever he was going by last got zapped........again.
And Loveheart, dont forget Loveheart was another that RWR went by for a tiny while.

FYI,  that is incorrect.

FTR, I miss a lot of the guys and keep up with them elsewhere.  I have always had more men friends than women friends and I too work in a man's world.  I like it that way. They may have hired me because they needed a token female, but last month, I out worked the boys..........

ndiehl - 2014-03-11 11:09 AM LOL Menanese: Address something just simple toward them "Hey Men.." then either insult or discuss a sports team or type of sport, say girls are smarter, or discuss food. Draws the men out every time. The Golden rule still applys "A way to a mans heart is through their bellies" They brought the food up in this thread. .. To the OP, there used to be quite a few more on here. There are some but 90% of this forum is women. EDITED: To change thread to forum* I am not trying to call you men girls or anything
Astute observation, for the most part, with a couple modifications or caveats.  We generally don't often react to remarks about women being smarter. We love women and want them to feel good about themselves.

It is unwise to contest any assertions that women are more intelligent.  It's always a good idea to develop an ability to resist that natural tendency to belly laugh at certain comments eminating from the fairer sex.  That is best saved for evenings when gathering around the square table.
I'm buying this shirt for my husband.

You just brought back some awesome memories.... Left to themselves... Neither my mom nor my dad could finish the New York Times crossword puzzle... But together.... They could!!

That's such a cool memory Komet!

ndiehl - 2014-03-11 10:47 AM LOL! It does smell gross, especially when it's being made. Looks worse then dog food then too! My father likes to make it from scratch. As a kid when you saw the ingredients it meant either spend the weekend at a friends or lock yourself in your room with the windows open so you don't smell it. That and head cheese... I hated seeing the poor pigs heads on my counter.... and it didn't smell great or taste great either. IMO
OMG!  I love Hog's Head Cheese.
My first love ate hog head cheese sandwichs.. forever ago i had to make them for his lunch.. so now your telling me it was real hogs heads in that stuff? i thought it was just a cheese name..eyeballs and all?
Id miss all them men if I didnt keep up with them in other places .. they do tend to grow on ya..

Anyone else think we need a manese/womanese translator app for our smartphones???
I got the womanese part figured out (should I'm a woman), but manese has me stumped some days. LOL.

There is also a book by Jason Claiborne, "How to Speak Womanese"

How to Speak Womanese is intended to guide men through the emotional complexity of a woman's world. This book provides playful distinctions that will promote uncommon conversations and openings for what's possible in the untamed territory of woman to man communication. Women and men alike have had very poor conditioning and modeling for creating and maintaining effective communication, which has led to many unfortunate cases of Connectile Dysfunction®. Based on the daily influx of media, it appears that modern society is more interested in the drama of unsuccessful relationships than the harmony of successful relationships. What are you looking for---drama or harmony? Wouldn't it be nice if the communication between the sexes was simple, playful, and fun again? Surely that's a YES that just popped into your head, so what are you waiting for? Let's begin your training in How to Speak Womanese®.

Generally, I agree with you but you can miss some great regional cuisine.  One example is the Pappas restuarants in TX.  You won't find a better steak in Houston or Dallas than Pappa's Steakhouse.

Heard a joke on the radio this morning.

What's the difference between a woman yapping on the front porch and a dog yapping on the back porch?

If you let the dog in, it'll shut up................

I couldn't agree more TXBO!  I have to stop there every time I go to the doctor in Houston.  Absolutely the best steak I think I have ever had.  And the potatoes and asparagus are out of this world too.  Then the creme brule comes next.  I am so hungry now.

The three best steaks I've had in Texas:

1) Pappa's Steakhouse  Houston
2) Bob's Chophouse  Dallas
3) Three Forks  Dallas

Sorrel, you ever do Pappadeaux?  I love that place.
