svincent - 2014-03-28 9:34 AM barrelracer335 - 2014-03-28 10:31 AM Justin Boot Company bought him and gave him back to Mary.. As in "we own him, but you run him..." Or as in "here have a free horse"???
That's what I would love to know
same here - isn't that the same mess, all over again? |

Justin Boot Company bought him and gave him back to Mary..
Killer PR move. Probably a drop in the bucket for a company like Justin, and now they have the admiration of many barrel racers!! Too cool. Good for Mary. |

batkitty - 2014-03-28 9:29 AM Well if the partner only gets 10% then Mary only (I say only very lightly) needed 85K, right?
The total amount has to be paid up front & they won't get their 90% until the Judge orders a payout, which doesn't usually happen quickly.
That would make sense. Thank you.
Yes, and Cheri will get what she is owed per the contract so the Walkers will not get the full 90% back. Still a heck of a lot of $$$. |

Location: NE Texas | Not buying it. Justin Boots is a publicly traded company owned by a conglomerate known as Berkshire Hathaway, which is owned by Warren Buffett. I don't think Justin Boots has that kind of "power" to stand alone as a company or make those decisions. |

| If Justin wants the 90 percent of the money back from Walkers sure hope they have a leak proof contract! |

Is this guy with Justin or a private banker for the Walkers? |

Yes, they have been using George to sell their boots for years. So, I'm dying to know did they just pay Mary $850K and now she has a horse and hundreds of thousands of dollars?
I agree, good PR move, but man I'd love to see that contract. |
