Location: Bastrop, Texas | Heaven help us all if she wins a repeat world title next year. If she wins 2-3, I can't even imagine the hysteria. I think a few people will either have a stroke, or lose their minds. As for Fallon, I honestly don't think she gives two rips what people say about her on BHW. If anything, it will just embolden her. Personally, I couldn't care less, one way or another. |

If this is about Fallon and helmets, I don't really care who does or doesn't wear a helmet. I don't care the reason behind her wearing one. It's a personal choice. I don't think anyone should be mandated to wear one, even kids. I also don't think people should be berated for not wearing one or not making their kids wear one, or made fun of if they do. Is it a good idea? Probably. Anything can happen in a horse race.

Location: California | I wear a jock helmet just riding around the ranch because sh*t happens. I don't care what anyone thinks. I know too many people and have seen too many people suffer seizures due to concussions. My husband was a jock, suffered a head injury and still won't wear a helmet. But that's because he's an idiot. |

Location: Where I am happiest | Well, I dont care what anybody says, her little horse ran her guts out all week and Fallon rode the hair off her! Love her or hate her nobody can deny that.Her and Lisa put on a heck of a show all week long. I will also tell you we stopped in at a sports bar the other night. They thankfully had the rodeo on. It was so interesting to sit there and listen to the comments in the room. There were quite a few people in there that dont normally watch rodeo but they had been watching the last few days. They got all excited when the barrel race started and went wild cheering for Fallon!! She was exciting to them!! But it was so fun watching the electricity in that room and she made new rodeo fans!

Leaving Las Vegas....what a surreal feeling to capture something you strive for your entire career! Babyflo has been electric...tenacious....gritty....and most of all a true champion. She has come so so far! She was the horse that couldn't handle ground....to the horse that hit too many barrels....to now the world champion that came in as a statistical underdog in adverse conditions to win 2nd in the average to one of the most consistent ladies to ever play the game! Lisa Loc...khart approached me before round 10 in the warm up pen and as a true class act high fived me and said no matter what happens this has been a real blast...we've both already won...now let's go see who carries the buckle home! Well we both were crowned champions and both were presented a buckle on round 10. She with the average championship and me with the world championship. What an incredible feeling to come back
from 15 years off...to a really miserable NFR last year which ended up being where we mustered up everything in us to go home...repaint our tiger...and come back to try with everything in our hearts just to do better. I could've gone home after Babyflo won us the first round lol! Once I accomplished that I felt complete but Babyflo didnt! She wanted more and I could feel it. She made me smile through each and every single run seeing those little ears pinned and her pulling harder with every stride...man was this fun!!! It takes a village to keep me together and on the road. So many people have contributed to my success and it doesn't go unnoticed. Each one of you cheering from home...I heard you...each of you cheering in the stands...thank you! Next run you make however big or small...know that I'm cheering you on too!! Babyflo and I will be taking a little break before we head to the 2015 rodeos and enjoy the holidays with our families and friends! Then...if I know my little mare..she will start the year off tenacious aggressive and like she has something to prove all over again. Know that God places dreams in your heart for a reason....faith is a daily task....and happiness is a pursuit.....never final! Write down your goals...stare at them...believe them....and take action!!!! ?#donepreaching? ?#thislittlelightofmine? ?#thebabyfloshow

Here's my deal on Fallon.
Ok, it's admirable that she has overcome such a serious injury and other hardships to become a world champion. Maybe she does deserve it, I'm not one to decide that. But for me it's all about impression. For me the impression is not a good one. She thinks she needs to be all in your face flamboyant, putting herself out there to be noticed. She is throwing herself out there to be noticed by her look, and not her ability. Which is her choice. It is also my choice to not agree with it. I don't know her, I don't know what she's like without the glitz and glam. To me it's better for a Sherry Cervi, Lisa Lockhart, Michele McCleod, and Mary Walker to be a role model. They quietly and humbly kick ass. For me that's what it's all about. Let your actions speak louder than your words and how noticeable you can be. They don't go out and disparage others who criticize them. They don't need to. I lost all respect for Fallon when she made her "couch jockeys that can't get out of the 4D" comments. Then she backtracked and tried to do damage control. Didn't work in my mind. She doesn't know how many "couch jockeys" there are out there who know what they are talking about. One thing I have learned in my many years is you can never know everything and you can always learn from someone. If somebody tells me I am doing something wrong and give me advice to fix it, I will take their advice and try it. Most of the time it works. Sometimes you can be so closed minded that you are only handicapping yourself. There are some things that she could do different, but hey, she's world champ. Who am I to point them out? Just sayin'.

I couldn't agree more.....and unfortunatley......all the attention this year was on Fallon Taylor..her outfits.....she totally over shadowed the other contestants. I just don't love her desire to have all the attention on her. The horses.....the other half, and arguably the most important part of each duo...were horribly over looked.......and lets keep one thing mind as everyone argues over wearing helmets....Fallon doesn't wear a helmet.......
Give me Sherry, Lisa, Brittany.....as role models....any day of the week. |
