ment?

Pack it with brown sugar. Has worked great every time for me. Kills infection quickly so it can heal.

Yeah I fed organic iodine to my 8 year old last fall but only once a day, as I was advised by a trusted vet friend of mine. It's roughly the same dose as you mentioned and it worked out fine and fast.

I want a detangler that I don't have to washout, you have one of those.

I personally have used plain ole Aloe Vera Leaves... You can buy them at most supermarkets.
I peal the leaves and blend the inside to a paste.  I saturate the area I will work and start from the bottom-up... You don't have to worry about oils or alcohol.  Yes oil and alcohol mixes tend to dissipate the alcohole out, but I don't like baby oil... baby oil has been known to collect and hold different live culture bacteria that can cause infections... plus baby oil gets real hot if you live in hot climates..like Florida...

Aloe paste will dry up after use and no residue left behind... and it is a natural skin and hair emollient... not only that.. it has no odors.

Electrolites..
I want to express here that you don't need any better than APPLES to restore Electrolites and Glycogen to your horse.  Especailly after excersize...

Horses love them and they provide so many other benefits...

I see so many horse owners that swear up and down with what they already feed their baby.. but I tell you again ad again.. there is nothing better than NATURAL FOODS for your horse...NOTHING...  the benefits are endless and your horse will have healthy and structural bowels.... remember this..... a horse with healthy bowels is a happy horse.. so love your horse and treat him/her to NATURAL FOODS.. you will never regret it...

And most important... remember that your horse is NOT a machine.. so love him/her continually.... in the end.... you will both be happy...

I wanted to share this guy with you all.. I love this guy.. He really understands horses and their NATURAL NEEDS AND BEHAVIORS... so much to learn folks... I am one that is always open for learning and this man has taught me a thing or too....  especially in LOVING YOUR HORSE...

Just watch him.. what a blessing..

1 part mouthwash (nonalcoholic is best)
1 part conditioner
1 part baby oil
1 part water

If you are using it in a spray bottle, you may need to add more water so it doesn't clog up.

I had a farrier tell me to spray horses feet with Listerine to help with thrush and he sprays their nail holes when he finishes shoeing....

My friend uses Mouth Wash as a liniment at shows after running.

I use Gelatin for Hoof Supplement.

Also heard of Metamucil for Sand Clear.

I use Apple Cider Vinegar and Baking Soda for washing dirty tails after a long winter- way better than shampoo.

Newest one I'm going to try is using Lavender oil for massages and extra calming at barrel shows.

And those pine pellets you can get for cleaning stall- works Awesome for using as Kitty Litter! (Not all cats like it though) But much cheaper and easier plus it smells much better too.

CINCH MEASURING MADE EASY ..

Always buy the cinches with the squared flat top buckle dees ... this
gives you a straight pull and even pressure at the top of the cinch
thru the entire cinch.

I also recommend using a roper cinch on barrel saddles ... they are
so tiny and most are poorly designed for weight distribution they
need all the stability they can get with a wider cinch.

Here is how to make your measurement for different saddles.
Tools needed... a pair of scissors, 4 ft piece of binder twine or
string, tape measure

Saddle your horse as if to ride to compress your pad.
Carefully take your cinch completely off without moving the saddle.
Tie one end of string to the off side and stretch it firmly under
horses belly and thru the near sided Dee of your saddle.
Now cut the string off at the bottom of your near sided Dee.
Go to the off side and cut string off at bottom of the Dee.
Now cut 16 inches off of the string you have left ..
Measure the string you have left ..
If it measures an odd number like 29 or 33 .. add an inch and
order a 30 or a 34.

Here is the cinch I have bought for years and use them on
every type of saddle .. note the square tops on cinch buckle,
stainless steel hardware, and the 31 strands will lay flat on
the breast bone due to the good retainer on these cinches.

Look at this link .. it has the above cinch and a picture of
what both sides of your cinched up horse to saddle should look like .....
pay attention to the pictures ... his logo patch belongs on the off side
of the horse ....>>>>>>>>>>>>

I also recommend using leather latigo straps on both sides to
allow a small amount of expansion along with the mohair
to give you horse a little breathing room but not losing any
stability in your saddle ...

Collodial Silver, for everything, lol. I have my own machine, and use it topically, for abcess, and orally, for horses and humans. Cleans, all infection up quickly, heals quickly, so many things, hard to say it all

I use to have a recipe for liniment that included cool pack green gel, absobine liniment, vinegar, witch hazel, and green alcohol and it worked wonders on my and my horses but now I cant find it or remember how much of each to use? Does anyone have a recipe with these ingredients?
