So does the Jessica girl have a deal with JACO or does she just have SUPER expensive taste in EVERYTHING? I saw their tack, belt, a jacket.

Every girl also had atleast one brand new looking heritage style tack set. Lol I guess that explains their recent blog post regarding the show.

I watched and it looked pretty scripted and ridiculous but oh well i doubt it will last very long.

Just noticed in the 2nd episode that there is actually a Heritage Brand logo on the side of Darcy's trailer. Why in the world would she need a sponsor? Or do you think they took it as a marketing opportunity?

crapshooter - 2013-12-13 6:01 PM Also I'm very angry I never got to take 2 days to get to Red Bluff and stay at a winery Bed and Breakfast
You're from Oregon also, so you'll share my confusion.... On what planet does it take TWO DAYS to get to Red Bluff from ANYWHERE in Oregon. Yes, it is a long drive for sure, but two days?! Come on ladies....

It's 400 freaking miles!  Usually that's the first stopping place heading south from here.

I'm really mad at my old hauling partner, I'm going to give her a bad time for never taking me to a bed and breakfast on the way.

LOL I live in Elma, WA and my family and I used to go to the Red Bluff Gelding Sale every year. It only takes like 9 hours I think from where we are. We always just drove straight through, even on the years we bought horses from there and had to haul them back.

And she slaps a decal on her trailer? It's the only one on there. Besides her own decals and the one for Rocky Top

It's possible because I'm pretty sure Rocky Top doesn't sponsor her. But she is really, really good friends with Viki (the owner) and they usually travel together. So I'm willing to bet the Rocky Top sticker is just a friendly support thing.

But who knows, Heritage very well could have given each of the girls a tack set or something.

In the A&E meet the cast thing, it says that Darcy won more money than any other rookie in 2004. Wouldn't that have made her WPRA Rookie of the Year? Because I looked it up & she wasn't. So is that in amateur rodeo or what? Does anyone know?

Basically our ammie association, I don't know why they started putting the word "professional" in all the ammie names

That's what I'm saying.  It's our ammie association.  It's not affiliated with the WPRA or PRCA.

I think that is what he's saying, I've never understood it either. Because sometimes I try to explain the difference between NPRA and PRCA/WPRA and people are like "but how is NPRA an ammie association if it says professional in the name..."

And yes, she was rookie of the year for NPRA that year. Not WPRA.

Ok. I was just curious. Since they make it seem like she was a wpra rookie that year.

We have two associations with professional in the name. One is a pretty competitive association. The other is a joke. 25 members tops.

You can have more than one professional association. They just aren't affiliated with one another. The WPRA/PRCA is not the only pro rodeo association it is just the largest and a national association while others are regional.

FAB - 2013-12-13 5:40 PM that horse getting caught in the rope was a bit fake because she reached right over and pulled the rope loose like it was loose on the knot..NOT real

The horse's leg was caught in the rope so when the horse pulled and shook it's head the blunt of the pull was on the horse's leg not on the pole where the rope was tied.  Also some lead ropes do not pull as tight as others. I have colt training lead ropes that when a horse sets back hard they still are not impossible to get undone.  I can't remember what they are made of or if it is just the way they are braided.

well....i tend to think that if you are getting paid from a sport then you can consider yourself a 'professional' athlete if you want......no different than minor league baseball, hockey, etc......they all  have jobs and work on their professional sports careers as they can afford.......

as far as i'm concerned, ammie=high school/college

sodapop - 2013-12-13 6:29 PM   So was Reno (I think the casino scene was there) on the way to the rodeo? You can see I'm unfamiliar with the area. Would she have really wasted most of her money gambling? I didn't understand the argument in the alleyway of the barn. Were these ladies put together or did they know each other well beforehand?

The argument in the alley of the barn was over Darcy thinking she could boss Barb's helper/friend around. I can't remember her name but Barb's friend hauls with her to help her out and in return Barb gives her lessons. Well anyways Darcy asked her to grab a bucket for her and that made Barb angry.  She felt Darcy should be able to care for her own horses.

Whoa! On the second one what kind of wipes were they using to clean their saddles?? Are there actually leather cleaning wipes out there??

Side note: when they said the part about Marv having a black cloud following here my SO said OMG I think we found your twin! My favorite words are "and then...."
