So instructions say to feed 1/2 to 1 1/2 pounds per day.  You girls are feeding the required rate plus adding your other feed?

I couldn't either.  I have a Runnings in town that finally called me back yesterday.  They said they can get it but won't stock it so each time I order its a 6-8 week wait.  Runnings and TSC carry Safechoice both Sr which is 14% starch and the Special Care which is 10%.  I'm going that route for now.  If he does well on it I'm going to stick with it.  I have only one gelding that needs low starch feed.  Last season I had him on Ultium but the cost and the fact that its higher in starch, I wasn't impressed.

With tax..it came out to a little over $38.00. Trying to find a cheaper source. I got it when we were in Kerrville at the Purina Store on Junction HWY.

I'm using it as a top dress. Add half pound to my regular ration. Horses are looking better and the hot ones have calmed down. Love it

I started out on half pound a day and worked up to a full pound per day after about two weeks. I have fed it with straight alfalfa, alfalfa and grass, and wheat/oat/grass hay. Due to hay quality issues here, I am back on full alfalfa.
A few of them get Cosequin ASU as a joint supplement, and when I switched from one hay to another or during stress, I add probiotics. That's it, really.

For those of you who can not find it, call Manna Pro and they will help you find a dealer.

Only feeding the other grain to slowly switch. They were getting 3lbs COB, ~1 lb RG in the beginning. Dad has been gradually adding less COB. And he's actually feeding morning and night like I asked (as that was recommended....1/2 AM, 1/2 PM). After this month we'll remove the COB and I'll up the RG by a cup....I think when I initially weighed/measured it, I was a little short. My scale couldn't handle just a pound of weight so I was a little off. A BB told me a pound was 3 cups. I was doing 2 overflowed cups. Oopsie!

Is that what everyone else is finding? 3 cups = pound?

OK thank you for explaining that to me.  I misunderstood and thought you were all feeding both feeds but I get it now that your just taking a couple weeks to gradually switch.
To whomever suggested calling Manna Pro I ended up not having to call them as one of my farm stores will get it in for me its just that they won't keep it in stock at all times and I have a 6-8 week wait each time I need any.  I can't take the chance of not getting it when needed.

I get a cup measurer from the dealer that is specifically for RG. It shows half, 3/4, and one pound.
