Location: Florida.. | horsemans edge Senior is middle of the road grain.4 lbs is not enough calories. it is low fat.it has 4 % fat and clearly needs more calories so i think if you bumped up the grain you will see a more improvement but my suggestion is also to add wet beet pulp..
Senior Protein - 14.00% - FAT -4.00% 18.50% 0.60% 1.10% 0.40% 40.00 ppm 0.30 ppm 150.00 ppm 2,800.00 IU/lb

Location: Florida.. | you can try what you planned.. or just up her grain to 3lbs and add 2 lbs of wet beet pulp. ((((2 times a day)))).. that would be 6 lbs of grain plus 2 lbs beet pulp daily. and see how that works plus hay 24/7. just needs more FAT and calories .. and i think you will notice a differance in a few weeks..

Location: Warsaw, VA | Muscle takes amino acids to build. If the diet isn't high enough in amino acids, with lysine being at the top of the list, it does not matter how hard the horse is worked, how correctly he's worked, he will not, can not, build his topline to his genetic potential. It takes enough amino acids (ie lysine) to have muscle development appropriate for the amount of work.. I give Lysine to all mine and also Animal Element Detox to help remove toxins etc... |

Location: Here | If anything I think your horse might benefit from Horse sit ups. What I mean is at the girth line tickle/scratch under his belly and make him lift up his back. Hold for a count of 8 and repeat a few times. Over a month that back will lift up. He has lost some weight so I agree with Upping his grain/calories in whatever manner you can

Location: Florida.. | yes doesnt look like i envisioned.. not skinny by no means. still up the grain a bit though.. i dont think its enough to provide the proper nutrients.. 4 lbs daily.
a good workout tummy lifts as sg said and work over his back and add some good supplements as above mentioned and i think he will improve his look. has a weak back and stomach .. kind of upside down in the gut area ..pretty horse.
