All RV's have gas detectors in them. Many people disable them because they are sensitive and can be annoying. It does not take much propane to do this. Even static electricity from walking across the carpet can set it off. It looks like they were set up to stay since slide outs are out. Just glad no one was hurt. I am sure that could put a damper on someone's fun.

I had trouble with my LQ trailer and piolt lights blowing out from external winds. It would automaticly try to relight. My gas sensor didn't always work correctly.

I bet it put a big damper on this poor familys fun. I bet a blast like that pushed the slides out's out, heck there is not much left of that motor home. Scary stuff to have happen.

OMG! This freaks me out because we have the same make and model of motorhome! Ours is a newer model but I don't need this image in my head now. Oh dear!! I'm sooo glad no one was hurt and that the dogs are ok but I can't imagine the dogs not being petrified at this point. Poor babies!
Here's our motorhome:

Right!? I can see the Monaco emblem on the front of it, but the fact that it looks so much like ours made me think, oh crap that could be our rig!!

I was wondering the same thing. I saw somewhere else that a man was in there with them. I wonder if anyone can confirm that?

I had problems with my fridge this year and the smell of propane inside. My deterctor never went off. I had all my lines checked and everything was good. It ended up being a very dirty burner or something with the fringe that made it smell like a propane leak. They replaced my detector and told me they should be replaced every five years because they go bad. Mine had the green light and looked like it was working but obviously it wasn't. I had no idea they recommended replacing them every 5 years.
