Yes they ARE legit, for the millionth time.  Finally a factual article on the barrel racers in Rodeo Girls:http://starcasm.net/archives/254836It's not on here yet, not sure why.
And the grey Barb is riding is a Judge Cash.  Â
That's what I said. They ARE legit. I read up on them when the show first hit the news. |

I think y'all are forgetting it's for entertainment. I thought it was hilarious. I loved it. |

Location: NC | And those girls didn't say anything at that bar that a lot of the girls on this forum didn't say about the whole show. They said the same things about Darcy everyone else did. And Barb said it best. You can't just buy the horse. You have to ride it. |

That was me...I didn't mean any harm, just going off first impressions on the show. Anyone can claim to be a barrel racer, and even win money and buckles. To me though, there's a big difference between the barrel race winner at a 4-h show, an AQHA show, a local jackpot, a super show, and a rodeo. Even with rodeos the caliber of contestants are going to vary from region to region. I'm not saying any of those portrayed on the show are or aren't high or low caliber, but I certainly won't believe something just because I read it on starcasm.net, I choose to reserve judgement until I know a little more. Really though, I wasn't judging, just saying Barb and Marv appeared a little more been there done that than the others...No offense meant ladies, put the claws away... |

For some reason it's not on our cable station til 11.

the starcasm article is true, that's why I said it was factual. No claws, just some of us actually know or know who these girls are and their horses. |

I don't know of any way you could make Dash run a 23. Unless he trotted. I have yet to watch the show. For some reason it's not on in Scio Oregon until later. LOL
Dash was an 18.3 in Scottsdale. Marv was an 18.1. Barb knocked. The Megan girl knocked. And the Jessica girl ran a 23 somehow. She slipped a little at the 2nd, but not enough to warrant. THAT time
And yes. I'll be saying Dash ran that time. Darcy was just along for the ride. The other girls can ride. Darcy? Not so much. She just has the money to buy the right horses. Barb & Marv put the work in on theirs. Idk enough about the other two. They both said they just bought their horses, so I'm guessing they didn't train them. But they're sure as heck doing more riding than Darcy is. She just knows how to switch hands. I can do that. So I'm not impressed. Take it how you will. I have respect for the other girls though.

And I give Darcy credit for taking up barrel racing late in life and putting the time into it and she's smart enough to buy good horses. That's the only things I'm vouching for. Oh and that they aren't "hookers". lol.

Location: Pacific Northwest | I haven't watched it yet, but is Dash who they are saying Darcy paid $200k for? That's definitely not the number that was going around when she first bought him...I had heard it was $80k, but that's not a fact, that's just what I heard.
I posted videos of Dash's previous owner running him but it was on a thread that got moved to the Island. |

Location: CA | I didnt think Darci did too bad for being the newbie; in fact I was impressed with how she hung in there and went for it... These other girlies have been running barrels probably their whole lives and like someone else just said she(D) started late in life. I didnt like all the fake crap and I dont care to watch it because it bores me, but I was kinda rooting for Darci on this one.
