I probably shouldn't admit this, but we don't own even one Chirstmas decoration. I threw all that stuff out years ago. I am a Bah Hum Bug and can't wait until the first of the year when things go back to normal. Kind of sad..I guess..LOL

Β This is me, too. I quit getting excited about Christmas about 15 or 20 years ago.

Sangria - 2013-12-22 4:14 PM FC you need to explain about the geese. Using items from loved ones means so much too me, especially when hand made.

I know my mother would expect me to carry on with Christmas traditions and to develope new ones. It's just not the same, but I can't not decorate or celebrate. My father and I have started new traditions with some great friends. They have helped to fill the void. Good friends are priceless.

Each person needs to do what is right with them and what makes them comfortable.

I hope they attach Laura.  My husbands father made all of these.  He fought 3 wars, and we lost him in 2000.
Louise Poodry's photo. He also made the ducks in the showcase if you can see them in the second picture.  Very talented and great man.

This has been floating around FB and I think it is hilarious!  I want to do it next year.  My hubby is a bit of a grinch so it would be perfect (we have a grinch as a tree topper on our tree lol)

I was at a race yesterday at a boarding stable and they had the barns decorated really cute.  Does anyone else decorate their barn?  I think I will do that next year:-)

I finally quit being a Scrooge and took some pictures of my tree and some of my favorite ornaments.  I love my local Tractor Supply store and spend a lot of time visiting with the employees.  I commented on their store tree last year that I loved the old pickup and tractor ornaments.  I went back in after Christmas and was handed a huge bag of the ornaments.  I thought that was pretty special.  The skunk and the squirrel have no meaning - just cute.  LOL

FatChance those birds are very cool!!!!!  Do you leave it up all year?  If I had something like that I would have to find a place to keep it up all year because that is amazing workmanship.

As for our Christmas decorating this year...ain't gonna happen.  It's just Todd and I and the dogs and we are going to be gone for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and then again over the weekend I just plain didn't get around to putting up a tree this year which is terrible!  I don't even have gifts wrapped but after coming home to packages being ripped open by a very bored dog I wasn't taking the chance.  LOL  When we move into our new house next year I will decorate but it's a no go this year.
