ksCowgirl78 - 2014-01-15 4:02 PM We got married in 2009. The wedding was at the local state lake in one of the stone shelter houses, and the reception we had at my husband's family's farm. His dad cooked the meat, and friends cooked the rest of the meal. We had a beautiful day. It rained in the morning and cleared off which for Kansas in July 80 degrees is awesome! Here's a few pics.



My dress i found on Ebay and paid about $120 for. It came with an $800 price tag, and had to have some alterations because I'm so short. Alot of other decorations I found on sale. I never did add up what we spent on the wedding, but I think the most expense came from the photographer. I wanted nice photos to remember the day, and I think we accomplished that!

TXBarrelRacer84 - 2014-01-16 11:12 AM Love your wedding cake!  Great pictures too!  Thanks for sharing.  Did your attendant wear boots with her long dress, I can't tell.  I'm trying to decide if I want short or long bridesmaid dresses.  I originally wanted shorter dresses (knee length or right below) with boots but I'm not sure that will look great on all my girls.  If I do long I don't think I will have them wear boots.   

TheOldGrayMare - 2014-01-16 11:30 AM I got married last summer. You will see my bridesmaids are a variety of shapes, so I chose a dress with an A-line cut and only fitted in the bust, so that was it was flattering for everyone. My coolors were turquoise and lime green. Nice evening June wedding at a Winery. I loved it. My advice for planning - DON'T SLACK!!! www.theknot.com will be your friend. People book venue, photographer, DJ, etc. so far in advance so you can get a good one. I had to do some last minute booking and got lucky I ended up with great vendors.

TXBarrelRacer84 - 2014-01-16 3:02 PM I want to do burlap roses in the blue/turq looking mason jars for some decorations.  I'm not sure how hard it is to make the burlap roses, but I love them.  I'm doing turq but more of an aqua/seafoam turq instead of the blue turq and then pink, black, silver, with burlap, lace, mason jar accents.   

Jinx - 2014-01-16 2:12 PM The dresses look blue in the pictures but they were actually teal. My colors were Teal, Coral & Brown.



I did as much of it myself as I could. I made our invitations, programs, spray painted all the flowers, made bouquets, our family made the food, photographer was free, cakes were free, hubby made the cedar fence and we still went way over budget. Lol.

I loved everything about our wedding!  We got married at an arena and rented a tent - which is a good thing since it rained that day!  We got married in September of 2011.
