barrelracr131 - 2014-02-18 2:49 PM Nevertooold - 2014-02-18 2:20 PM barrelracr131 - 2014-02-18 1:27 PM So I got one.... one side of the seat was OVER 1/2" longer from swell to cantle than the other side. Whole thing was horribly horribly crooked. Tried to return it when I noticed, site would not let me, sent it back to circle Y, they told me I would have to wait FOUR MONTHS for them to rebuild my replacement. After much back and forth with the retailer, they refunded my money, and I'm STILL out the shipping to send the d@mn thing back to circle Y.
So yeah, I'm none too pleased and you can bet the bank I'll never buy another circle Y. edited to fix spelling btw I can post the photo's if y'all like, but that whole situation really ground my gears. Neither Circle Y nor the retailer were willing to make the situation right within a reasonable amount of time. the leather wasn't bad, and the seat was comfy, but it was not even usable. I bought a used one that was suppose to have had about 20 to 30 rides on it. It also was crooked and one of the biggest pieces of junk I've ever seen. Sent it back and was also out of shipping both ways. It was misrepresented as being lightly used or I would have been stuck with it. I couldn't believe someone was stupid enough to ride in it as much as they did not realizing there was a problem with it. I rode in mine a couple of times. I had never ridden I'm a treeless before and thought I had made some kind of user error... Tried various pads, different placements... I would have never thought the whole dang thing was crooked. My husband took one look at it and was like "dang this thing isn't even close" lol
Didn't it feel like one leg was trying to go forward while the other was going backwards? LOL
I put it on my horse and saw how crooked it was. Took it off and put it on a saddle stand and saw how crooked it was plus how worn it was and kind of lost it..LOL I couldn't get it back in it's box and out of my sight fast enough.
Yes, it also felt like the saddle was sliding off to one side CONSTANTLY... drove me nuts... I thought it was all in my head until I brought it home and hubby looked at it.
the saddle rack at my barn is crooked, LOL, so I didn't notice it there... what a headache. |

I, also, had to look at 500 different picture angles of the saddle with a measuring tape showing the differences in sides........and, I had to read all of the emails sent in correspondence to the saddle dealer and, I believe, Mr. Circle Y himself lol..... |

| I will say it doesn't matter what company you deal with, you have to pay shipping back no matter what.
I bought a crown c and rode in it a few times and something was crooked in the saddle, I paid to ship it back, after a month I just got it back, they said if it was the tree that was crooked I would be waiting 3 months for them to make a new tree, so it is with any saddle dealer, with crown c I was surprised because each one comes with a piece of paper saying inspected by whoever. |

Shipping back is standard I'm not peeved over that
The length of time for a factory made saddle was a bit much considering the retailer had them in stock. I was given the runaround and originally told mid February for the replacement. That became 3/31, tentatively.
Eta only when I called to check status with the retailer. They did not seek me out to inform me of that fact.
Not to mention the fact that the saddle should have never passed qc.

I took the Deb Sibley back to the maker. I was lucky they are only about 60 some miles from us. They were very nice and refunded my money on the spot. |

Location: Fort Worth / Springtown | I have had mine for a year, now, and love it. I've tried lots and lots and lots of saddles to fit this one horse, including treeless saddles - Circle Y and Bob Marshall, Deb Sibley, Special Effx, Coats, Black Rhino, etc. I finally feel like my horse's hind end connects to his front end - he has cadence that I never thought I'd feel.
But one thing I did do is make an adjustment to the front of the saddle for my high-withered horse - something that you couldn't do with most other saddles.
If I would have found this saddle years ago.....I just can't even describe. But all those years of searching sure taught me a lot that I never would have tried to learn if it was easy.

Location: Paradise , tx | Years and years ago, we had to send a circle Y Bob Marshall back for repairs ( their fault) Had no problem getting it fixed in a very reasonable time at their expense. I have two circle Y's and have been happy with them. |

| I have one …
I ordered a 14.5. A 15.5 came in the mail. Returned it .. no cost to me, except time.
I have no complaints with the way it sits on my horse. He runs super in it. My feet stay under me and I'm able to get up and going without problem. the quality is okay, I've seen better and I've seen worse …. But (there's always one) … it KILLS my back. I have had such back pain that it takes a day or two for me to recover from a run. I tried different pads as suggested to no avail. One run I was in so much pain I didn't want to sit down for fear that I wouldn't get back up. Many many many many chiropractic adjustments, stretching, and massage therapy visits later and a change in saddles … I have residual back pain, but not like it was.
So it's going up for sale or trade. I wish it would have worked. But it didn't … not for me anyway. |

| I love mine and it fits my mare very well and doesn't hurt me to ride in. I broke my pelvis when I was a kid and have a bad back too so I can't just ride in any saddle. I have never noticed anything crooked about it but now I'm paranoid too. Maybe I'll take the tape measure with me next time I go to the barn! I do feel like the quality and craftsmanship of them are comparable to a $500 saddle though. |
