I eat regular food for breakfast. That is one thing they talk about on Paleo websites, let go of traditional thinking about breakfast. I eat leftovers a lot from dinner. |

Best website for primal/paleo and how to get started. Lots of success stories and advice. "The Primal Blueprint" is probably one of the best books on primal/paleo. They put up links and thoroughly researched articles regularly. |

Location: Hill Country of TEXAS!! | How is everyone doing?? It's been hard to make myself get out of routine and go for it but today has been the day where I'm sick of the routine and the way we have been eating.. I'm looking for recipes to cook starting tonight bc our fridge is bare and I'm going to the grocery store!
Does anyone have a good easy recipe to start off on? |

Location: lexington KY | I have been Paleo almost a year and I love it. I make Paleo Nachos with sweet potato chips about once a week and it is my favorite meal. I also buy Paleo wraps from Julians Bakery and still have burritos. I have a salad daily and boiled eggs with nuts and fruit for breakfast. I also make egg muffins for meal prep. On the weekends we make paleo waffles and so far I dont feel deprived of anything. I run a lot so I do have one cheat meal during the weekend, but it doesnt have flour.

Location: Do I hear Banjos? | We have been on a Gluten Free diet trial (doctor ordered for S.O.) since Sunday and so far so good. If nothing else I have learned some great new recipes and we are eating very healthy.
We have tried and enjoyed :
Venison Lettuce wraps (although I am sure you could sub in beef) Vegetable Quiche Cups Baked oatmeal
And some other easy things like shrimp/veggie stir fry and tonight we are grilling venison/veggie kabobs.
I got some great ideas from on the board here as well!

There are a lot of websites that explain Paleo and what the do's and don'ts are. No sugars No processed foods No Legumes No Grains
Pretty simple and pretty easy to follow. If you would just eliminate processed foods for a start you should see a difference and will lose weight.
We aren't into many "recipe" items as we like meat and veggies and that is what we eat. We either grill or bake our meat and I will say one of my favorites is baked chicken. |

You are correct those are not paleo. I use grassfed beef that I spice up with garlic and cumin, more cumin the better. Put in burrito, topped with onion, green peppers, green chilis, guac and jalapenos, and I always use salsa verde for salsa. |

| I just discovered Peanut Butter pop tarts and Chocolate peanut butter pop tarts at the grocery store. I don't think it falls under the paleo diet or my no carb no sugar diet … |

There are purest Paleo people and then there are realist Paleo people. The purest eliminate dairy and anything processed. Others introduce dairy back into their diets. If they start to gain weight they go back off of it. I don't drink milk but will have a Greek Yogurt every couple of days and will have some aged cheese every few days. I have used some canned tomatoes here and there in a pinch. There is a huge difference between a canned veggie and other canned stuff like soup. My husband actually eats an Organic soup that has very little junk in it but I stay away from it.
For me the biggest problem was breads and sugars. After I would eat bread or pasta I would blow up like a puffer fish. For me eating Paleo is eating clean and leaving the junk on the grocery store shelves. |
