Location: 100 miles from Nowhere, AR | I was going to suggest acupuncture. It's amazing for so many problems because it helps balance your energy so everything can function better. And I don't mean a chiro that does it on the side for pain management, I'm talking someone extensively trained like a dr of oriental medicine. There is also an amazing herbalist in Rose Bud, AR (north AR). His name is Barry, and you can google him. I have 3 cysts on my left ovary/Fallopian tube that were screwing with my hormones and his remedy has helped me tremendously. I won't take BC anymore because of my family breast cancer history. |

Location: lexington KY | I have had endo for years, had the surgery and been on BC. However I recently came off BC and in the past 2 cycles I havent had the kind of pain I had in past years before the surgery. I will say, I went to a Paleo Lifestyle last May and I do feel this has made a big difference. No flour or grains has helped my body and I feel has helped this issue, there are some that feel it is directly related. I have no idea if it is or not, but I do know so far my problems have not resurfaced 100%. I do have some occasional pain, but nothing I cant handle. I hope I can continue on without BC, and no more surgery. They removed 2 very large cyst last time and it was painful, but the surgery was worth it. |

Location: Midwest Farmer's Daughter: Central Illinois | I am interested in everyone's stories as well. I haven't had anyone look too deeply into my issues but if/when I decide to try to try for a kid I plan on investigating.
My doc & I have decided that I will just stay on BC (Apri) & not have a period unless it forces itself or if I choose to have it. My cramps had gotten worse & worse over the years & one day I hit the floor in my mom's kitchen. Saw stars, was dizzy, thought I was going to throw up. All symptoms pointed to endo & that particular instance was a cyst bursting.
I'm interested in seeing what the outcome will be when I decide to look into it. |

It's better not to wait. Especially if you think you want kids some day. Endo left untreated can affect whether or not you may ever have children. |

Location: IL | I have never been officially "diagnosed" with endo but I have all the symptoms. I've had horrible pain & passed out before and after doing some research I do believe it happens to me when cysts rupture. Hubby & I don't have any insurance at this very moment so I havne't had it looked into as of yet. But I always had horrendous periods and cramps that put me in the fetal position until my period was over. I missed a lot of school as a teenager/college student. I went through a ton of different BC pills and none of them helped until I went on Seasonique. It is the only BC pill that worked for me. I get a "period" every 3 months, it only lasts for a day or two, and is SUPER light. Still have some minor cramping but only for the first day of my period then the cramps are gone. I've had a couple people tell me that it's so bad for my body to be on BC pills that long and not let my body properly cycle. Quite frankly, I'm scared to death to try another form of BC because I don't want that pain to come back.
