I bet those are silver dots.  They had some saddles there with them. I did not see anything painted. All the dot borders and  crystals I saw are attached with studs or prongs, no glue.  I was concerned about them falling off but they are so well made.  I have never seen them put on like this.

How neat, I got to ride in one once and I am still kicking myself for not buying it then!

That would look really good on a buckskin (hint hint).

Appreciate it everyone.  Those are silver dots not painted.  I have them on my Rocket and I have had that saddle since '08 and they are all still intact with plenty of rides and runs on the saddle.  BTW, it took about 7 months for them to get it finished, which is pretty good when the last one I ordered to close to a year.

How long did it take them to built your saddle? If I like my used Caldwell as much as I think I will I might order me a custom one later, maybe

We must have posted at the same time! lol  It took about 7 months.  It wasn't a bad wait at all because it was mostly the winter months and we were busy building our house so I actually forgot, for a while, that it was coming!

Those dots are all hand set!  Charon does gorgeous work.  Love that saddle!

They are one of the highest quality saddles I have seen. I couldn't get 100% comfortable with the design I picked so I changed it to the paisley design. I absolutely love Kaycee's saddle but it is very close to a double j we have and wanted something different then what I already have. I am hoping to get a 2nd Caldwell soon and will have to recruit y'all to help with the design :)
