| 5.9 Cummins We have a '95 and an '03. Both are standard transmission, and we bought both new. We are nit picks though. We put a 1000 miles on our trucks before we pull with them, and we didn't drive either over 55 MPH until they had 300 miles on them. So far, all we have done to the 19 yr old truck is replace the clutch and the fuel line, both after it was 17 years old. The '03 hasn't required anything yet. We change the oil every 3000 miles.
I will say the paint on any Chrysler product is much lower quality. Just heard they changed the formula and it is much better though.
Had a '90 Ford that was a good truck too, but it took 40 acres to turn it around! |

I love my 3500 '04.5. We were looking at upgrading to a '12 or newer but decided to hang on to our 5.9 without all the new tech crap. My dad has a '13 Longhorn Laramie and we all love it and it is a pulling machine but it is the techy crap like computers, fancy schmancy radio, and sensors that have been a bit of a pain already and it is less than a year old. I hate to see what these newer model trucks will be like in 10 years. I just don't think they are made to last anymore. My dads old Dodge was a '95 with over 500k miles on it. He never had an issue with it other than normal wear and tear. He thinks he is losing 5th gear now but heck something is bound to happen with that many miles on a truck and most of them with a heavy load on. |

Location: At the barn | Ford cannot compare to Dodge. They just aren't the same animal as far as pulling. Ive had 4 Dodges from a 99 3/4 to a 2012 ton. They are great for pulling and the Fords I've been in can't hold them a light to go by. |

Then why do I see the market for 99-03 Powerstrokes going through the roof and one can buy an older Dodge for a little of nothing?

Please message me the cheap dodges as in my area the 12 valves go for anywhere from 10-20k. My truck is a 2006 and the black book price is still 25k.
Again please message me the links to the cheap dodges |

It must be your area. You can get 12v for less than 8k all day long around here. |

I guess I'm not seeing that at all. We paid $16k for our 01 in 2007 and I am seeing trucks the exact age and mileage now going for $18k. We also paid $20k for our 04 in 2010 and could sell it for that if not more even though it now has higher mileage. It's hard to find one under $10k even in rough shape. |

Ha ha ha, in the test, we started at a stop and accelerated to a certin point, what truck got to the point fastest, and what speed it was at when it got to the point. lol Dodge was last and obtained the slowest speed, so much for power. |

Location: At the barn | That's pretty interesting since the latest test was a Ford f450 and Dodge 3500 and the Dodge beat the Ford significantly. Ford is a poor comparison to Dodge. Plus, look at the Ford injector deal. Pretty sad. Oh, and the frame twist test lol. Ford looked like a flimsy a$$ half ton. Dodge was stout as an ox!

| I own a auto parts store and shop and had customer with a 6.0 die in my parking lot. I have a customer who works for virginia power and they use all ford products. Tye 7.3, 6.0 and the 6.7 this man has worked on them all they had so much trouble he told me that they are starting to use dodge ram and have not had nowhere near the problem with them. I am a die hard dodge cummings person. If i where to buy a new one would spend the money to take the emmission junk off the truck and u would void warranty but you would be wqy better off. |
