I have every toe shape boot except square. I have a semi-square toe boot but I only wear them for special occasions. I love my Double H Buckaroos. They are my go to riding boot. I also love my pointed toe Justins, I don't ride in those much. Those are mainly for special occasions and when I want to go somewhere with out the poop smell following me. I did come across a pair of Justin Bent Rail square toe boots that I'm going to get to try out the square toe.

I have the Bent Rails. I like them, though they are uncomfortable if I am on my feet all day.

square toe boulet! I started wearing square toe several years ago and it did take a bit to get used to them, but after that I was hooked! I only have one pair of round toe left and after they are worn out, I won't be buying any more round toe! I LOVE boulet, they fit my feet so well and are very comfortable even when pounding the pavement at a fair, or in town shopping! I've tried other brands and was disappointed. You can get them at alot of places, but I like to keep a eye out on sales and keep an extra pair stashed... rods and elis western wear are just a few of the places I check

Do the boulet run true to size or do you get a size up or down. Ex. I wear a 7 1/2 in every day stilettos and 8 in round toe ariats however the 8 I have in square toe ariats are too big. I would just go try them but there are no close boot stores and ordering online is so much more cost effective & fun. =)

My all time most comfortable pair of boots I own is a pair of Ariat round toes (before the squares really took off)... they're so old and need to be thrown out, but they are just soo comfortable and I have so many memories in them.  I just wear em around the house when I don't care what I'm walking thru.  I will probably look a little harder for some Ariat square toes next time I'm in the market for new boots.

I have square toed Justin's and Ferrini's.  Love the Justin's.  The Ferrini's are nice, but my feet do not agree with them after a long hard day.

My husband HATED the square toe "trend" for sooo long.  He despised them... and then one day he tried a pair on, bought them and has yet to buy another paid of round toes.

We are in the same boat! My poor ariat round toes, that I wear like muck boots, are falling apart at the seams. And my husband too thought the square toes looked goofy so I about fell off my horse the other day when he said he wanted a pair. He wears a size 14! I cant even imagine what square toes would look like on a foot that big. Prob have to get them custom made, lol... Anyways sounds like Justins are the ones I should look for as my everyday riders and then I will buy a pair of Corrals for my pretty date night boots.

We're all in the same predicament! I have a pair of six year old Ariat Heritage Buckaroo round toe boots and I just can't bring myself to get a different pair - they've held up so well and I love them so much. Plus they stopped making them a few years back so there's no hope of finding another pair like it.

I HATED my first pair of square toes cause i thought they looked awful. Then I shut up because I love them so much and thats all i buy now for over 5 years!

BTW my boots are for work/horses. Not play or to look glamorous. They are a tool to me not a fashion statement

Tell me about Double H boots.  I am looking into a pair.  I talked to a lady that had on a pair that had some sort of gel insert in the sole.  She loved them.  Said she wears them all day and her feet don't hurt.  Was thinking about getting a pair for riding/showing in.

I totally agree with you!!!  I have a pair of square toe Boulet that are the most comfortable boots I've ever worn.  I had never heard of them until I tried this pair on.  It's like they were made for my feet.

Square toes are my favorite.

My go-to riding boots: couple pair of square toe justin bent rails. Not much cushion but I like them.
Everyday work/muck boots: round toe twisted x all around (ugly but feel like a tennis shoe on)
Dressy boots: corral square toe

On a side note, if we're giving opinions on brands, I refuse Ariats because mine never lasted.

Mine also have the gel inserts. I bought them almost 2 years ago and have worn them almost every day since and they have never once hurt my feet. I even wore them on my wedding day. I will upload a few pictures of the pair I have. I swear by Double H boots.

Square toe!!  I will only wear Anderson Bean boots!  They are made in Texas by people who know how a boot should be made!

I bought a pair of the ferrini boots at congress. Super blingy and COMFORTABLE! Though, I don't do any work in them bc it will ruin them. I never felt like I had to break them in. I did go back and forth on them and tried them on several different times because I had never had square toes before. I love square and round toe but I think the square is more comfortable.

I feel like they run true to size. I'm a 7 in just about everything Ariat and Boulet included.

horselover_jenn - 2014-04-03 7:26 AM Awesome thanks for everyone replies!! I have a pair of Ariat square toe but I think I bought them a 1/2 size too big (even though they are the size I wear?). I feel like a clown in them. I will try some of the ones yall suggested. I saw the Corral ones on pinterest and I think I may be in love. At least with the look.

I don' know if this has been mentioned since I haven't read every post but if you go square you will need to get a smaller size since there is more toe room than in a round toe.

I have always wore a 7 in everything but can get a 6 1/2 in square toes.

I wil NEVER go back to a round toe boot EVER!

I'm not much on fad but was given a pair of squares. They're ok but just a bunch of hype is all.

If your boots feel a tad to big, try wearing thicker socks and or get inserts. That will help to take up extra room and your boots not feel too sloppy.
As for the Double H boots. I got a pair of work boots, pretty for work boots, not so comfy. Even with an added insert.
