| I had a colt that was born and was not breathing.. It was 10 ish.. and we had been having a few evening cocktails and one of the guys that was there decided to try to give him "CPR"
Well.... that colt literally shot up when he got the first hit of that breath of Gin.
So we named him Ninety Proof. :) |

The worst one I ever rode Diamond Joe Uncle----what?? really? that's as good as you can get. Could have just called him sorrelly and that would have been better. I always thought it was a fake name. |

Location: MI | Lol, I'm going to win this one! Years ago I went to TX on a Appaloosa shopping spree. I needed 6 horses for various clients. I went to a rodeo just outside of Denton and there was a gorgeous bay blanketed gelding there that the kids were riding around double and triple on. Once the rodeo started the wife ran barrels on him and the husband roped heels on him. I asked if horse was for sale. Husband said he got harassed a lot about riding a App and that husband was better header than he was heeler and App wasnt big enough to head off of. Said his kids would be crushed if he sold him. I told him I'd be there til end of rodeo and to think about it and let me know. During the bull riding he come walking up with 3 crying children in tow. Said he would sell, we agreed on a price and then I asked his name, was told Pete and he had no papers. Luckily Apps let you register geldings and spayed mares with unknown parenteage, as long as they meet the color requirements since the won't be joining the genetic pool. The kids made me promise I wouldnt change his name as they said he knew his name and would come when called. He did! When I went to register him I thought of obvious "Pete" names like Peter Rabbit and For Petes Sake. Cuz he was a gelding I registered him as Peter NoToole. I sold him to a client that needed something as broke and steady as him. You should have heard the announcers at shows when they would announce his name for the 1st time! I also bought a unregistered yearling in that same trip by Sundown Q. When got him home and started playing with him, he was dumb as a box of rocks. I named him Sum Dum Q. |

| My five year old is named See Ya At The Bar. I also have my retired gelding named King of Denial. My friend thinks of some pretty cute names for her babies, she's who I bought the five year old from. |
