| Whiskey_Girl - 2014-04-21 12:24 PM I own two BJO's, one of them is the 2nd older DFP cross. The other one is out of Docs Abbie Lee (Docs Superstarbar bred). They ride almost the exact same even though one is 15.2 and the other is 14.2. I just went to a Ryan Lovendahl clinic and they had the twin DPF up here, and my DFP full younger brother was there too. It was pretty cool, they all looked the same but rode the EXACT same - even Ryan said when he got on ours it was like he'd ridden them before. We should have got a picture of the 4 of them together, they're all black and all tall.
I bet the one out of docs abbie lee cost you a pretty penny. I covet the foal they just had out of her by slick by design. Super fancy! |

I can honestly say he's the most athletic, nicest horse I've ever ridden. I wanted him since he was in utero, when he came up for sale I grabbed him. I still can't believe he's in my pasture and I've had him since July. |

I think we need to see a video of him! ETA: How tall is he? DAL is only 13.3 h. Just curious what size came from that cross.

This is from a little podunk race I hauled him to just to get him ready for next year, it's more of a playday type of deal but they stuck us right at the end of the barrels class so it was like entering up. I've been working on going up and around the first, which is why he goes up and around, he was stepping in on me so we're giving a little more room for now :) He's probably only 14.2 but is long backed. He's clocking super well for just loping. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10203694592433981&l=575785252599508077

What I really like about them is thier trainability. I can literally put their feet exactly where I want to and they allow me to. I have never seen one with a poor attitude, they all seem to really want to try to please. I've never seen a stallion stamp thier get the way he does. |

Was he the one that DLW just decided one day she was going to sell him? He was priced right and sold FAST. I wanted him so bad! |

I was really wanting to breed something to him this year but went with slick by design instead. I just got a better deal financially so went with Slick. Although BJO is totally on my list for the future! |

I kept waiting for her to tell me that she changed her mind and wasn't going to sell him. She wouldn't even take a deposit. He was there for another month before we could arrange the vet check/ shipping. He was the deal of my lifetime - for sure

I agree with this. I know of a mare that went up for sale this morning and has a sale pending, and the owner said she could have sold her 10 more times already. She was out of a proven 1D mare, 4 years old, 14.2, and grey. Already been entereed so no futurity eligibility but that didnt' seem to matter. And she wasn't cheap. |

The palomino colt I just bought wasn't even on the market. She posted newborn pics and I jumped on him. I think he was 4days old and she already had someone to price him to before me, so glad they passed :) my sorrel filly isn't even on the market and I have had 3 emails just from FF site asking if I would sell. That's pretty dang good if you ask me ! |

It wasn't his stud fee that turned me off, I want to say he had a high chute fee that made it really expensive to ship semen on him, and I didn't want to drive to weatherford. I still really like him it just pushed me out of my budget.. maybe another time! |

That is exactly my concern. $2500 + $500 Chute Fee + Shipping. I went with ASOF instead, just looking for validation of my choice! lol |
