Coon tail isn't usually associated with Sabino. This is correct. Sabino also is associated with white sclera around the pupil. I'm pretty certain HAB has a sabino gene as I've seen way too many signs of it o/o mares with no history of throwing much white. I got a filly this year with a belly spot. The second one I've gotten o/o 2 different mares. This is a prime example of medium expression of sabino. You can't see it. But he's roan throughout his entire body. Biankus was a roan. I don't know if he himself is, but he throws it for sure. As for my Reckless Dash mare, her sire didn't have it to my knowledge, I wonder if it came from the BA75 or if it skipped a generation somewhere. Dash For Cash's broodmare sire was Go Man Go who is rabacino. I have seen quite a few DFC bred horses who expressed the rabacino gene but I didnt know if their dam's were or not. Wait, I just realized maybe my mare is rabicano or sabino by reading these comments. She has the roaning in the flanks (not nearly as loud as many), but she has a white spot on her hip. She's also by Reckless Dash and out of a Pass 'Em Up mare. She's in the background of this pic and you can see the spot. Editted to add, the above foal was her first. Tried and True Posts: 21185 Location: Where I am happiest	This is all so very interesting and have thoroughly enjoyed everyone sharing pics of their interesting horses! They are beautifull! I find it interesting it seems some stallions may or may not express it themselves, but seem to pass it on rather frequently. I also find it interesting that appearantly, horses can be both sabino and rabacino.

Bulls Eye Posts: 6443 Location: Oklahoma	These are half brothers... the buckskin was a yearling and the sorrel was a 2 year old in this picture. Their dam had the rabicano and passed it along. She has a brown spot on her left thigh and no other odd markings. This is her before she shed completely off. This is a more recent pic from last weekend. The dark spot is visable. The light spots on her back are spots she hasn't shed out on yet. They aren't lighter. Doesn't she have a gorgeous forelock?! Her mane is beautiful too!
