Vinegar is a great cleaner for most everything . When we were stationed overseas, that's what the German and Italian women used almost exclusively. I'd clean it real good and use bubble bandits everyday after. I'm glad s.g. told us about it. I ordered it from amazon prime. |

Lemons home for sure!! It really does work great!! And we have horrible water with lots and lots of calcium that stops up holes and leaves a nasty film all over everything!! I even use it to just clean things like my shower head faucets etc. good luck!! |

 Vodka for Lunch
Location: Lala Land | We have really hard water also, I got the lemishine and it worked, but took the writing off my measuring cups! We bought an inexpensive softener from Lowes and don't have any trouble now.
My husband also says the detergent in the pouches do not completely disolve, he's always getting calls about dishwashers not draining and 99% of the time it's build up from those. |

Location: Central Florida | I was just having this issue with my dishwasher. My co-worker recommended the Cascade Platinum and the Jet Dry Booster. I ran the dishwasher first with nothing in it and placed a cup of white vinegar in the bottom to clean out any existing gunk. Using the cascade platinum has made a huge difference. Say bye bye to any left on crusty food and grossness. |

Β I know we have very hard water at our house here in Missouri. Β You can see it, feel it, etc. Β The kind of hard water that leaves a film on everything....but it certainly is delicious to drink......
Anyways.....shortly after we moved in we purchased a new samsung dishwasher. Β Retail price tag on it was between 6-700. Β We got it on sale for around 450 or so.
Anyways, it's HORRIBLE about getting dishes clean! Β We have even used the oxy stuff for hard water, and run a cleaner for just the dishwasher often.
Anyone know if we just got jipped on the dishwasher or if it's really from the hard water? Β I've gone back to washing all our dishes by hand and using the dishwasher as a drying rack because it's aggravates me so bad.
I want to get a water softener for our house but right now can't afford it, and also the water for the horses comes from the house and we wanted to run new lines before we got a softener.....
LOL!!!! I should have warned you about this... Sorry.. My bad.... Let me fill you in.... One of the things I miss the most about home is the taste of the water. You are sitting above a humongous limestone aquifer. Let me tell you a secret. As bad as you think it is... Keep an eye on your hot water heater... That's where it causes the most problems... A water softener will help a lot, but it spoils the taste... We never had one... |

The hot water heater here is older. Around ten years. So we are already tracking that we will most likely have to replace it before too long :) |
