I think it is... although it is the norm here in California. One of the reasons why I prefer to run with CGA.

CYA Ranch - 2014-05-16 8:54 PM From what Cheryl described it sounds like it might be worth it if you're going to do the series for a chance at those great prizes.  It also depends on how far I have to drive.  Around here its nothing to drive 100 miles to a run with no added money just to get some runs in.  If it was close and I didn't have to spend a buttload on fuel....yes I'd pay $50.

If the 50.00 entry fee is for two runs and points go for nice awards, and theres not many other barrel races to go to at the time, yes I would pay the 50.00...Thats the way most of your NBHA's around here are anyways. They dont have added money most of the time but you are running for year end awards and sometimes those awards are pretty darn nice.

$50 per run. If it's not rained out on Sunday, I will go to the jackpot only because the arena is super close to home and I have nothing better to do. I'm not crazy on the fees because I have no intentions of six runs to qualify for the series finals (horse isn't a fan of the pen. Or maybe it's me. I'm not sure).

Then definitely not. Way too high for what's offered. That trailer can only be won by one person. All other awards go to one person for thst matter :-/

I paid $50 this week don't remember if any money was added LOL but it was an award series and that did get me a run into each of two clubs to qualify for their finals.

Too high! Anything over $25 for no or low added money and I cringe! I know there is an $800 friday night run coming up with $35 EF, then Sat and Sun it is $40 with $1500 added. Best two times go to average with $500 added I think.....

Our state NBHA now has set fees no matter where you run. Open- $25, Youth- $20, Senior-$20 and adult is the directors discretion.

I'm in a small series that is BBR approved and it has a $25 EF and $20 sidepots. Buckle awards and high point wade saddle pad.
