I have went to an Urgent Care walk-in clinic and Walgreens/CVS Minute Clinics.  Both were able to help!

Thank you ladies! How awesome are those minute clinics at the CVS stores! I feel so much better going there for something like that! was in and out in 30 minutes with a few laughs from the nice doctor something I really needed!

I JUST posted on FB about this.   We, luckily, have a general walk in clinic I'm going to have to use...but DANG!!

I'm so frustrated!!  I have a history of Poison Ivy, but haven't seen my regular family physician since 2012, so they won't just send a Rx down to the pharmacy.   I have to actually see someone.    I know they need a paycheck, but make it off of someone who really freaking needs them!!  Not a poison ivy case!!  UGH!

They aren't "trying to make their paycheck" off you. It's a medicolegal issue. You don't legally have a doctor-patient relationship if it's been over a year since you were seen. That's a standard policy for pretty much any doctors office.

Urgent cares and minor emergency clinics are great for this sort of thing. But yes, I see tons of people in the ER for poison ivy when I'm working weekend shifts. If you can't be seen anywhere else that's better than suffering. Or spreading it all over yourself. You just might have to wait awhile.

I try to stay away from 3 leaves but the damn chiggers get me every years no matter how much deet i spray on me. I hate those lil buggers but I love my blackberry jam. My husband said to soak a rag in kerosen and wrap around my legs it would keep them away.......

Yep. I get into Chiggers! I'm good at avoiding poison ivy but darn chiggers, or red bugs as my BF calls them.. I always find them. talk about miserable.
