| MAC can be hard to find!! I'm from SD and there's nowhere to get it in ND, SD, or WY. If you're ever in Minneapolis/St. Paul, there's quite a few stores out there. You can also order it online and they have a pretty good satisfaction guarantee/return policy. | |

| I got the Bare Minerals Bare Naked that is a liquid from Amazon. Make sure you get the foundation brush. I have over 60 skin, does not settle into fine lines or pores. | |

Location: Oklahoma | Right now my foundation of choice is Lancome's Teint Miracle liquid. It's my current shade match so I make it work. It's best when my skin is somewhat dry since it helps make it dewey.
I wish I could help you out with the sweating, but it's just a battle I think everyone faces and you gotta try products until you find what works! MAC's setting spray did a good job at holding my makeup, but it broke me out. I've not tried Urban Decay's, but I'll probably give it a whirl someday!
Be sure and use primer underneath to help hold it together. My favorite is Nars ProPrime and Hourglass' Mineral Veil.
and get yourself a beauty blender!!! They are sponges that you wet and dip into your liquid foundation for a flawless application. It's not gonna make your makeup stay longer, but OMG... they're amazing. SK brand at Target has a cheaper knock off in blue, but the real Beauty Blenders are the softest thing ever and you can really tell a difference. Can't comment on the Ecotools one, I've not tried it.

Location: Phoenix | You can get the real Beauty Blender at Sephora. I use the Real Techniques version from Ulta and it works pretty well. I decided to start with that one because it's cheaper and work my way up.
I recently discovered makeup swap/sale sites on Facebook. Sounds sketch, (and maybe gross) but you can sanitize most items so I've been doing that. I've gotten 90% of my MAC shadows that way.

No comparison to the real beauty blender! I've tried all the knock offs and they just don't give the same finish. The beauty blender has a completely different texture and really does give an airbrushed finish, is antibacterial and lasts forever. Don't waste your money on the special soap though, instead grab a $4 bar of Dr. Bronners Castile Bar Soap (I use the lavender scent). It is really good at removing foundation without making it break down over time.

| I've been using a powder one by Mineral Essence and really liking it. I think its the finishing powder so it's not even really foundation.
Mascara-Clinique lash power or DHC something mascara. Tubing mascara's never have black eyes.

There Could Be Aliens Out There

Location: North Central Kansas | If you have oily skin the best high end foundation that I have found is:
Makeup Forever Matte Velvet +
Estee Lauder Double Wear
Kat Vod D Lock It Tattoo Foundation
Drugstore:
Covergirl 3N1
Revlon Colorstay
Also, Loreal Tru Match is nice, but you have to power your face constantly if you oily.
ETA: A good primer helps. Some people like setting sprays, but I have yet to find one that works for me. I apply with a damp beauty blender or Sigma F80 brush.

I've been recently obsessed with makeup for 6 months now. I have dry-normal skin, for the record.
Right now I'm loving Smashbox Studio Skin 12 hour foundation, paired with Hourglass mineral veil primer. The primer is expensive, but worth it. It fills in my pores, has 15 SPF and makes my makeup LAST. The Smashbox stuff lasts in this AZ SUMMER heat; even after my workout it looks good. Most foundations lately have been separating and looking patchy--not this stuff. I apply it with a damp beauty blender. If you haven't discovered the beauty of the beauty blender--stop everything right now and go get one. I use the Real Techniques knock off ($10) and I like the results.
I've tried the Revlon Colorstay Whipped foundation--settled big time into every pore and crevice. Loreal True Match was too full coverage. Loreal True Match Lumi separated big time. Dior BB cream didn't impress me. The MAC Studio Sculpt was too dewy and patchy for my liking. I used MAC Studio Fix powder foundation for the longest time but definitely like this Smashbox stuff better. It's the only liquid foundation that works for me.
Bare Minerals does have a new serum foundation out....you can go to YouTube and watch reviews and first impressions of it. That's where my obsession started. I saw a tutorial for the Naked 3 palette and now many $$$$$ later I'm watching YouTube beauty gurus on the DAILY!!!!
I'm a huge makeup junkie now too! I stumbled across a beauty guru on youtube a year ago, and now I watch 5+ beauty videos daily. It addicting.
ETA: I have the Naked 2, 3, Naked Basics, and the Electric Pallet. I have a real problem.

Location: North Dakota | Mary Kay CC Cream. It changed my life. So much so that now I sell Mary Kay. All their stuff is amazing, but the CC Cream is OUT OF THIS WORLD. I have combo skin, so very oily forehead/nose, very dry cheeks/chin. Redness, freckles, large pores, and my forehead breaks out very very very easily. I'm a beauty fanatic, so I tried just about every foundation/BB cream out there. From drugstore to high end. The Sephora ladies know me well. I was introduced to Mary Kay's CC cream and oh my. It's non-comedogenic, hypo allergenic, and fragrance free, plus it's SPF 30 (I think). So it's actually GOOD for your skin. It never feels heavy or sticky, even in 90+ degree heat. And it is natural looking. It doesn't make you look cakey or dry, it just looks like you have the most fabulous skin, so whether you add more makeup or not, it never looks unfinished. Not to mention, it runs only $20 a tube (which lasts quite a while). It works so well on it's own if you don't want to spend a lot of time, or in my case, I usually go "full glitz" so I use Mary Kay's primer underneath for an even base, then their concealer over top the CC cream for under my eyes, Tarte's waterproof bronzer to define my cheekbones/jaw (I think the waterproof stays on a little better), then a little bit of Mary Kay's translucent powder over my forehead, nose, and under eye to keep the shine at bay and set my under eye concealer.
Now if you don't want your eye makeup to come off, I highly recommend Mary Kay's eyeshadow primer. I've used SEVERAL and this is the only one that I've found in America that helps. The best thing was a cream eyeshadow stick that I got in Scotland at a drug store, but you can't get it in the states. Also waterproof eyeliner and water RESISTANT mascara are good choices. I have many fantastic waterproof mascaras, but they can be a bit harsh on those lashes, so unless you're going to come into direct contact with water, Covergirl's clump crusher water resistant formula works so extremely well and won't make you look like a sad clown if you sweat, cry, or get rained on. Can you tell I love make up? ETA: It applies nicely with a beauty blender or fingers. I have one of the official beauty blenders, but whether or not I use it depends on whether or not I feel like cleaning it.

Location: North Dakota | aquinnell - 2014-07-29 9:06 PM Are you looking for eye make up or all over make up? I do not have complexion problems and Bare Minerals made me break out like no other and looked "cakey" when you sweat. I hated it. I used MAC foundation for awhile, swiched to a "tinted moisturizer" with a Marc Jacobs pressed powder and bronzer over it. Havent had any problems and it looks super natural. For eyes I LOVE my Smashbox full exposure cassett, I use Urban Decay primer under my eye make up and a gel liner by Bobbi Brown. Ive also used MAC eye shadows as well as Urban Decay, definitely like the UD over MAC as I think it stays way better, but I can put on my eye make up at 5am Mon morning and its still in place Tues night (yes Im lazy and dont take it off at night lol)
Sorry, I don't want to sound like I'm trying to be your mom, but how can you sleep with makeup on!? That's SO BAD for your skin!
