I think allowing a politician control over funding of an office that monitors the ethics of politicians is WAY PAST STUPID.
Since everyone involved in this was elected who would you like to control the money? Wait I know Edna at the DMV she can handle it no problem.
Oh I dunno.... Lets start with writing it into the constitution and let the BAR association handle it..
In the first place it already is in the Texas Constitution. And you have lost your mind if you think turning over any money to a bunch of Lawyers is a good idea. Ask your self WHY is there an ethics commission that is controlled by one county and one party for the entire state. Don't get me wrong I am not jumping on the Rick Perry band wagon but this case against him is just plain BS. Now I will give Perry a pat on the back for one thing the man has a set.

I understand Perry is being harassed by the Obozo administration and I know he is trying to protect the borders.. and I know he is popular because of this. However in this instance I believe he has let that popularity go to his head and he is dreaming about kingship. She was elected by the people just like he was but he is trying to squash the people that voted her in.. What happens when it's your turn? |

She did what she did, after she was elected.....same as Richard Nixon and Obama. Just because they were elected doesn't absolve them from wrongdoing and the consequences thereof. |

You DO understand what a recall election is right?? The difference here is Nixon and Obozo would need a National recall.... Such a thing would not be necessary to remove her from office.... if the people wanted her gone, this is the way to do it... not by the governor cutting funding to one of her departments via an abuse of his veto powers in a personal attack. |

He attacked Kay Bailey-Hutchinson (whose trial was thrown out) and it took him 4 tries to get Tom Delay. This woman is a "Ronnie Earle" follower and worked for him when he was still in office. This is just a way for the Dems to get an unfavorable attitude toward Rick Perry before he leaves office. They need to just understand that the woman is a disgrace to her office and she should have resigned. |
