mine is removable and here in FL I really don't put them in that much usually only in the winter when we are going out of state or using the trailer for camping

My trailer is a stock combo with nothing BUT slats. Am thinking about replacing it and won't consider anything that doesn't have slats or drop down windows on the butt side. I guess I will have to make sure that I am armed with lots of Dairy Bomb fly spray when traveling through Arkansas.
I like that I can take out all, some or just one slat, depending on the temp. Can keep slats underneath the mattress when going South in the winter and put 'em back on the way up North.
