Location: Wonderful Wyoming | Reminics were either REALLY easy or REALLY fragile. Didn't seem to matter what the dam was, just an individual thing. Grays Starlight are great. Miss N Cash are some of the best, but hard to find and we never actually rode an own son/daughter. Most anything "Fritz/Bueno Chex" bred had great minds and work ethic-Bueno Fritzi Nic. Docs Oak are AWESOME too. |

koi322 - 2014-08-28 9:04 AM With all of the suggestions of Peppy San Badger, take a look at the horses being ridden by the great competitors and breeders of the Fulton family. You'll find several are sired by son of Peppy San Badger, Paddys Irish Whiskey. Lisa Fulton is a super nice lady and told me the cross of A Streak Of Fling on their daughters of Paddys Irish Whiskey is one of their favorites. I wish I had taken a photo of the pages of the Fulton's sale catalog that featured their sons and their personal horses (almost every one had Paddy or Irish or Whiskey in it's name LOL ) Definitely check out both the Fulton's and the Myers' (owners of Frenchmans Guy ) broodmare programs on their websites. You'll see the name Paddys Irish Whiskey several times. There is a super nice futurity colt for sale here on BHW that recently set an arena record that is sired by A Streak Of Fling and out of a daughter of Paddys Irish Whiskey. If you click on the ad link in my signature, the fourth picture in the ad is a 2 month old filly by our son of Paddys Irish Whiskey out of a Panther Mountain/First Down Dash mare. I love cow breds and am excited to hear of your interest in crossing your stallion on some of this blood!
IΒ just noticed your picture. You own theΒ stud whos addΒ I can not help butΒ drool over onΒ BHW. He is BEAUTIFUL!!!Β
Thank you so much! We love him :)
I've heard people say Frenchmans Guy's are broncy about as many times as I've heard them say Peppy San Badger's/Paddys Irish Whiskey's are broncy. You won't see me stop riding/breeding either bloodline ;-) |

| I am working with a super nice 2yo gelding right now, and he is Dual Pep (Peppy San Badger) x Docs Prescription bred. He is super smart, athletic, and hard working. I wish he had some more racebred just for some more downright speed, but what he lacks in outright speed, he makes up for in his athletic ability and grit. Plus he just hit a growth spurt so he's finally 15 hands tall. |

| I just got a grandson of high brow cat and rocket wrangler and Passem up on the bottom side. He has some size he's 16 hands and he's the cattiest 16 hand horse ive ever seen he can rip around a barrel and has a huge stride. He's pretty laid back and lazy when it comes to warming up but put a barrel out there and he runs. |

Location: Washington. (The DRY side.) | wyoming barrel racer - 2014-08-28 10:09 AM yes :) The ones we enjoyed the most were anything Smart Little Lena, just watch for them to have decent bone as most were very tiny. Somebody Smart sired a favorite filly I rode. Liked anything that went back to Smart Chic Olena except Chics Achey Breaky. They had some attitude and bronc in them. Highbrow Cats were smart and pretty easy. Freckles Playboy, easy as well. Ran as fast as we could from anything Duel Pep. Gallo Del Cielo's were on the hot blooded side. Anything with the name Merada were much loved. Master Merada, Freckles Merada etc. Hollywood Dun Its were small but pretty easy to train.
These are ones we rode enough of that we could actually form an honest opinion about them and their sire lines.
Anyone know if there are more similaraties (sp) or differences between the Paddys Irish Whiskeys and the Gallo Del Cielos since PIW and Rooster are full brothers? And while we're at it, what about offspring of the other (well known) full brother, Grays Starlight? |

I was around more Gallo's and very much disliked them. They were very reactive, especially the fillies. Grays Starlight seemed to be the most level headed. I can't remember one doing a thing wrong and was around a few standing stallions and they were kind hearted too. Paddy's seemed "ranchy" if that makes sense. I also see a lot of the northern country ranchers standing sons of Paddy. |

Docs Lynx and Docs Oak. In fact, there is a stallion bred very similarly close to me. I may take a detour from my usual race breeding and go to him. |

Location: The South | Woo hoo, y'all are making me excited about my new mare we picked up this weekend. She's a reining cull out that they trained for mounted shooting. She rode great and they said she's got a pretty big motor if you ask her for speed. I really like her personality so far. I recognized Shining Spark from my reiner friends back in the day, but I wondered if everything else I recognized was too far back to mean anything. The Doc Bar, Colonel Freckles, Freckles Playboy, etc.

Nu Chex To Cash was pretty big in both reining and cowhorse if I remember. |
