Location: Desert Land | I love MJP and Merridoc - not many own get have made it to the barrel pen (I'm sure because of his stud fee) but his sons are producing barrel horses and coming from the land of Merridoc, I have seen a ton of great Merridoc bred barrel horses. I say go for it! |

Location: Texas | I have a mare out of a daughter of MJP by HezA Fast Man and I have not made up my mind how I feel about her as of yet. She is 6 and has become VERY Marish this year which has made working with her a bit of an issue. She was on the track and has a SI 81 and can flat out fly but she fights me so much. She shakes her ALOT and I thought it was just me so I sent her off to be ridden by someone else for 3 months. She did the same things with her. It has gotten better and she came home the other day and due to my moms illness i have not been able to get on her. I really hope that she will finally settle in but the jury is still out. She is athletic as all get out and if she really applied herself she would be super tough.
She can get a little hot. So I am not sure if all of this from MJP or her being a mare. I also have a friend who is a pretty good futurity trainer and she always try's to steer me away from MJP. I guess it is all depending on what you get along as well as what they are crossed on and if they are a mare or gelding. My MjP mare is Beautiful and when she isnt being a crazy moody mare she is sweet. |

Location: Texas | I have a granddaughter of MJP and FDD as well. She was on track for the futurities but has ringbone in a back pastern. Bummer. Cool little mare too. I would jump on the opportunity for that bloodline again. Hence why i love captain courage. |

| There are a couple grandget around here that are 1D horses. A local breeder i previously worked for used to stand an own son of MJP and EVERY single one of his babies were the easiest to train, best minded horses i've ever worked with. They have a ton of try. They were all bred a little differently on the bottom side and that didn't seem to make any difference. |

I'd like to know too---the two that are of riding age out of our MJP daughter have been very trainable and easy to get started according to the owners. They are both sired by our stallion who puts a good mind on about everything we breed him to----but I'd have to think the mare has a lot to do with that also! |

| I have a mare out of an own daughter of MJP, she is as nice and friendly as any horse I have ever dealt with. She was only track broke when I got her and within a few days she was ridding like an old saddle horse. Smart, easy, friendly, calm, and you couldn't spook her if you tried. |

Location: Texas | Wyo you are at the top of the list if I decide she and I don't get along. Unfortunately it might be a bit before I decide. But it would most likely be before breeding season so there is hope. :). |
