I thought they all had to be registered QH. Learn something new every day :)
As far as I know, the only shows that require your horse to be certain breed are the shows put on by breed associations. So you couldn't run an APHA at an AQHA show and vice-versa. They have to be registered with that particular association.
For barrel races and rodeos, it just has to be a horse (or I guess an equine of some kind) |

Okay...I just didn't know if NFR had a certain rule about paints. I didn't think so, but since I hadn't seen one, wasn't sure. And I'm not saying that this filly is going to take me there, but, at least it wouldn't be a complete false dream with her color : )
Found it haha..

 Worst.Housekeeper.EVER.
Location: Missouri | IMO, besides her grandsire, her pedigree is not very special. I do not recognize any of the paint bloodlines.
BUT, I'm no expert, and as soon as I see the words "Sonny Dee..." anything, I get a little twitchy...as my "true black and white" Sonny Dee bred mare launched me on my head and sent me to the ER. Prejudice, yes.
But, I do love my other paints! And, QHs! And, having both, I will say that they are the same in every way (even color, on some.)
eta: don't mean to be discouraging! If you like her, then by all means give her a try!

Location: White Mountains of AZ | I was thinking the same thing. Other than her grandsire, I don't know of any of those others names. And if I get a filly, I would want to eventually breed her. Or at least have the opportunity to breed her. But I would want some promising lines in her. |

Location: Texas | Since you are also looking at her from a breeding standpoint, I would pass. Her pedigree has some big names way back, but nothing close enough to make me look twice.
If you like her in person and on video, only you can decide if you really like her. Based on pedigree only, I would keep looking. |

Location: White Mountains of AZ | I think so too. She's a cute baby..but never been big on paints... and even though she has a couple good names... ehh ha. But I will still post pictures of her when I get them! |

Good things for the Filly... if she is a True Black and White... and that she is a Mare ( resale purposes later)
if she is put together nice.. the price is cheap enough I would have to take a chance at her.. but that is just me... (if you can afford to feed another mouth) Good luck..
