Location: NE Texas | That being said, I too have sat in a Mary Walker, and I didn't care for it personally. It just didn't sit as balanced to me. I haven't seen the Tami Semas saddle in person, but have seen pictures, and it doesn't look like something that would work for me personally but I just much prefer the ride of a cutter to a barrel saddle.
Secondly, the "Jeff Smith" saddles are the upper end model of his line and the "Cowboy Collection" saddles are the economy model....kind of like Coats and Lazy L.

Location: Mississippi | My husband has a Jeff Smith Cowboy Collection roping saddle. I've ridden in it a few times and it was so uncomfortable that I won't even sit in it anymore. I love his Masters saddle and my Ammermans just not the Jeff Smith. But the hubby loves it so to each their own. |

| Tried their Mary Walker, didnt like it and how it sat me up off my horse.
Cannot say enough good things about the Tami Semas, Tami has worked her butt off on saddles for the past 4/5 years and when she went to Jeff last fall it all came together in an unreal way. BeJay who runs the saddle shop has really done a good job translating Tami's ideal saddle fit into a saddle. They have the ground seat figured out you sit down on your horse, your legs hand under you and theyre using high quality leather. I'm a diehard Coats fan/rider and I am loving my Tami as much if not better. |

Location: DUMPING CATS AND PIGS IN TEXAS :) | I rode on Herbies saddle and it really helped me a lot.I've never had a good saddle, so I can't compare anything, but I could feel the difference in my seat immediately. |

This is not a fair comparison though, the Cowboy Collections are the cheaper 'trophy saddles' so to compare them to any other collection is like comparing apples to oranges. It is the same as Larry Coats; he has the Lazy L saddles as well as his own saddles.
I own two Mary Walkers, but I have yet to see one of Tami's saddles, I have heard all about them from Jeff but haven't seen them since he has been producing them. I love the quality though, and if you want to customize them in any way they will work with you to the best they can to accommodate what you are wanting. |

| I would love to try one of Tami's but will have to wait til some used ones come out on the market. They look really nice, but ouch on the price. Obviously Jeff Smith makes quality saddles, but it would be hard for me to give that much since he's not as well known to many. |

Location: The Great Northwest | How is Jeff Smith keeping up with the orders if Tami is selling them as fast as she gets them? The back order must be getting to a year. I had the chance to ride one of her saddles and it did ride like a barrel racing saddle, but so do the JJ's. The biggest thing to me I didn't have the choices in was tree fit for my horse. |
