I owned a horse like this. Turned out to be a very old stifle injury. I traded with a lady and she had x-rays done and it showed some significant damage. The lady gave her Embryonic joint cell repair. The stifle healed. And she is now clocking in the 1D. I couldn't handle the gate issue any longer, but she was willing to work with the horse and it all worked out great.
That being said, if she hauls her to the arenas that the previous owner had ran her butt off at. The mare gives her trouble. But the lady that owns her is one heck of a horsewoman!
Sometimes you have to realize that with so many good ones out there, why waste your time with one that gives you hell??
