President Obama should have given his speech outside the courthouse or right in the middle of the street in Ferguson. All the protesters and those wanting to riot aren't listening to the President right now. Telling folks who are already at home to not cause problems seems almost useless.
 Could not agree more. As I said to my husband "Does he not understand those who are going to riot are not sitting and watching TV. They are in the streets already rioting." To little, to late....

Location: Baden, PA | I'm headed off to bed here. But I bet things are going to get rather interesting over the next few days. We all know Jackson and Sharpton are going to be milking this for all it's worth. Anonymos(SP) is going to be all up in arms. The New Black Panthers are going to be raising the bounty on Wilson as well as leveling threats against anyone that disagrees with them and the KKK is going to make counter threats to them. Many of the businesses that are being looted are going to just up and leave since what they had there is going to be destroyed not only by the locals but by the "protestors" that were shipped in from other locals. This is just the start of it, I bet by the end of tomorrow, there will be Riots in many major American cities. |

All Obama wants to do is stir up more racist mess...I ageed with the first half of his speech but then he goes into race relations and the police....and how the police needs to work with the community! What about the black community working on the issues in the community what a young man thinks it's okay to still cigars and rough up the store owner. Why aren't those issues being addressd? Micheal Brown actions put him in a situation that led to his death. The white cop didn't go looking to just kill an innocent man that day.
It would be great if he would say, "don't break the law and your chances of being shot by police will drop dramatically". No one has mentioned since the initial incident that the kid was breaking the law and that's why police met up with him. From there the evidence has to speak for him amd the officer. |

Fox chan2 from St Louis.. live.. (on the internet) I also see I44 is blocked and shut down..

| They shut down interstate because they are standing on it protesting. There's semis on it. It is so senseless. Not going to change anything. Obviously these protestors have no jobs. They have been out there for days and some months. Way to contribute to society |

Jay Nixon can kiss his job goodbye.. He declared a state of emergency earlier and called out the National Guard...But none of them are in Ferguson... and it's burning tonight..

Location: Missouri | The police officer was shot in the Shaw neighborhood I think. Idk if you all recall the black teen that was shot there by police about 6 weeks ago after he. Fired shots at police. His family claimed it wasn't a fun, it was just a sandwich...smh. Anyways, apparently protesters are there too bc of this incident.
I live about 30-35 miles south of STL....this whole thing is so unnerving and scary. |
