Just curious- WOW! I can't even FATHOM this! My thoughts are, I don't think twice - live and let live. ^^^^^ THIS......the only thing that I can say about the OP's statement is.....good job "trying" to stir the pot.........

| Oh my goodness- a simple no I don't think so would have been sufficent- lol! I put this same comment on my Facebook page and got alot more insightful comments. Interesting to see how people respond when their identity is hidden, verses those who know each other. Lol- gotta love the anonymity of BHW! eta: and by the way, my whole name is posted in my profile if any of you would like to jump on my Facebook to see how a constructive discussion on this comment would look like- you all just crack me up!!! Cheers! :)

| If you would look closely to the ones that did not wear a pink shirt....the thread they use to sew the sponsor patches and sponsor names is pink. They have certain colors they are required to wear by their sponsors but they use pink thread and pink writing on their shirts so they all have pink on some way or another!!!

This pic, this pic all day long. Some people don't like pink. Some people have commitments to wear certain things, and some may have honestly forgot. They all had the darn color on in some way or another. Let's not make mountains out of mole hills. Most cowboys and cowgirls are some of the nicest, honest to goodness, down to earth, caring people out there. The don't need to wear a certain color to support a cause, nor are the "MAKING WAR AGAINST THE FEMALES!!!!!!" by not wearing pink.
Good grief. |

As for wearing pink....or not.....how about follow the donation that's where the support starts not a stupid color wore on a certain night. |

| I'll start by saying I have personally been affected by breast cancer and I love pink (my favorite color) so I would probably wear pink every night except "patriot night" which is always the 10th round of the rodeo! (Facts straight)
With that said, I think this is a ridiculous post. Since for now this is a free country you were welcome to start it.
Do you honestly believe that just because someone wears a pink shirt that they have compassion for women that suffer from breast cancer? Let's just make it mandatory for everyone to go to church too so that they will have faith. IT'S NOT HOW THAT WORKS! |

Like Spiked said men get breast cancer as well.... lots of men each year are diagnosed.Β Β
Some may haveΒ forgotten their pink. It happens.Β I don't think any of them are doing it out of disrespect. Some are wearing pink and it doesn't show through on camera.Β Some are wearing a pink bandana or some other small sample of pink. Others are wearing sponsorship shirts they are required to wear.
I don't really like the bandana thing. I think it's kind of a cop out. I love pink and my horse wears it on occasion, even if I don't. |

| I have been through cancer 3 times the last was Breast cancer and if I never see another PINK t-shirt I'll be fine. I know everyone was being supportive and I love each and everyone of them, but I ended up with a dozen pink shirts. SO NO not direspecting maybe just tired of pink. |

Location: In a happy place | Having had breast cancer I think I will say somethng about this. Some women after bc love the color pink, they own lots of pink things. And some are like me. I don't like pink...never was real crazy about it but after bc the color pink gives me the shivers. I went with my sister to the hair dresser while I was on chemo (obviously I didn't need to go) and her hairdresser's daughter had been through bc treatment. A lot of things in her shop were pink which is fine that is her option. She tried to talk me into a pink purse and it literally made me sick to think about carrying that thing around. My son feels the same as I do and is glad I don't do the pink thing. I think it is wonderful that the WNFR chooses to wear pink the 5th go-round. It is great. I started noticing last night which contestants had pink on. I would say that a lot of these people (meaning the men) that wore it either had sponsors that saw to it they had a pink shirt or they had a sensitive wife that helps them put their wardrobe together and made sure their husband/so had their pink shirt. Luke Branquino for instance didn't have a pink shirt so he tied a pink bandana on his right arm. As did others. Some had the bc symbol on their horses hips. Some had pink leg boots for their horses. Looked to me like most were trying to do the pink thing. I appreciate everyone that did. Maybe some that didn't have pink on were young and don't think about such things as they are packing to leave.....you know when you are young you pretty much think you are bullet proof and don't think about disease as much as they just think about injuries sustained doing their sport. To say that someone there had a vindetta against women is absolutely the silliest thing I have ever heard. |
