ETA maybe you could get involved with in-hand classes? Anywhere around that offers showmanship or in-hand trail?

FlyingJT - 2014-12-12 3:12 PM TrailGirl - 2014-12-12 3:09 PM Read everything LRQHS posts on here. That's always good for some entertainment!! Other than that...I am into landscape gardening. Daylilies, roses etc. Fishing, hunting, hiking, geocaching tanning animal hides/furs Maybe re-decorate/paint rooms in your house? That's one I need to do but never seem to get the time! We are trying our hand at it this year... We have one coyote skinned out so far but havn't sttempted it yet, its in the freezer. Any words of wisdom, like whats the biggest no no?
It's probably, don't put it in the freezer lol.Β
hahaha! probably!
Oh man...see you crack me up!!
Geocaching is like a fun hike in the woods with a prize at the end. a scavenger hunt for an item cached in a specific spot you find using a compass and coordinates. It's fun...might be more fun with beer. I'll have to try that.
For the coyote...did you salt the hide or just skin and freeze? I can email you the instructions/method I like to use if you want. A salted hide is stable much longer when frozen....and you need to salt it anyway before the tanning process. I highly recommend using a kit for the tanning chemicals. The Tannery inc. makes the one I have found to give me the best results with the least amount of fuss.

| Wow thanks for all the ideas! I would love to try agility, I've always wanted to this might be the best excuse to try it out! I could sit here and laugh at some of the comments all day, it's pretty fun and entertaining!! I probably should have said that I'm selling my horses. Maybe one day I'll be able to own one again but they are too expensive if I'm not able to ride them, and honeslty they look so bored just sitting out in the pasture!! I am going to have to look into these ideas! thank you all so much!!! |

LMAO Maybe you need to get some socks that have a built in torch so that way you can wear them when you want to light things on fire.....just step on a certain spot....then...BAM!!! On fire!!! |

Horses take up so much of my time I like to do things he likes when I'm not with my horses. He supports my horses so I like to support his interests as well. |

Location: North Dakota | When I'm not riding my hobbies include reading about horses, watching horse related tv/movies/youtube videos, spending time on horse forums like this, shopping for my horses, collecting model horses...oh my. Um as you can see horses are like 99% of my life. In the small amount of spare time that doesn't involve horses I LOVE learning about makeup. Watching videos and perfecting my tecnique. Making/fixing jewelry and tack is fun too. I also love shooting and fishing. We just got a new golden retriever puppy so he's learning to be a hunting dog. |
