Sort of - I work at a university and just learned that the father of one of our alums from our graduate program will bequest a scholarship endowment of 6 figures to our program and name it after my boss (she is the BEST) and his family. What makes is so special is just yesterday she and I were discussing endowments and she did NOT want one in her name after she retires. I told her everyone loves her and it would not be hard to garner donations for such a thing. And the father is an alum from a rival university. It makes what we do here all the more special when people recognize that we really care about our students and WANT them to succeed. We both had a good cry about it. BEST. CHRISTMAS. PRESENT. EVER. Even though it will a few years as it is in an estate plan. It is going to help so many students in the future. Simply amazing and beyond generous of them.

Man it has been a helluva week here too. Yesterday I finally got to see my horses, and that was so great because it was the first time the youngster got ponied with a saddle on!
