daisycake123 - 2015-01-04 1:07 PM What is difference in psc/h3
From what I understand H3 was a customizer of the PCS  Inorder words the conchos, Tooling etc
Quality. PSC no longer makes the H3s. The H3 was still a high end saddle, but not as high as the PSC from my understanding.
Thanks  So it is right that H3 is no longer being built correct?

I think H3 to PSC was just a name change because Kari went out of parternship with a few people and is doing it alone now.  You would have to ask Kari but that is my understanding.  I had a H3 and recently sold it to get a different tree and now have a PSC and I don't see a difference....

I rode in older caldwells for years. I got my first H3 PSC last spring and I am so glad I bought it. I've tried a lot of the name brand saddles; Double J, Deb Sibley, and Caldwell. My H3 is by far my favorite saddle, I loved it so much I ordered a new PSC from Kari. She great to work with. The H3 is a line of saddles from PSC, kinda like how Double J produces the Pozzi saddles. As far as I know the H3s are no longer being produced, but they are very nice saddles.

You can still order an H3 from the Hodges. I'm pretty sure its not a PSC saddle anymore though.

I had one of the very first H3, I agree Kari is AWESOME to work with and I admit I prob am not:) I am just a little OCD and it is hard to order one and not know what the finished product will be. Anyhow, I would not say comparible to Caldwell as far as craftsmanship but close.
The rise in the ground seat was not great but I sent it back and they tried to fix it. It was like a softball just wadded up in my crotch.
Above all else, IMO it is the tree selecction that sets caldwell apart. H3 used to only offer 2. I think now PSC offers 4.

I tried a couple PSC's and they do not compare to a Caldwell in any way other than they look like similar - but the tooling on the PSC was was not very good. The quality was NOT the same. I will gladly pay a little more to get the real deal. I think the PSC is overpriced for what it is - but that is my personal opinion. I know others disagree.

I completely agree. The PSC's look the same but definitely are not the same quality as a Caldwell. Kari was very helpful and nice to talk to but once I paid for the saddle and my check had already cleared it took at least 2 weeks or more before it got shipped. When I got the saddle it was in a box that you could have fit 3 saddles in with absolutely no padding or protection. I was extremely disappointed especially after what I paid for it.

I know some people don't find Caldwell to be very helpful but I have nothing but good to say about my experience with them. I have pestered them to death about trying to find the correct saddle to fit my horses and they are always more than willing to help and offer advice.

I would like to say that I talked to Sharon on the phone for 45 minutes this morning. She was nice and extremely helpful. She agreed to help me find a used saddle that would fit my mare. She told me how to get pictures that would help her to see my mares back and that in turn would help me get the right size saddle for my horse. I think this is going up and above the call to help someone. She didn't try to push a new saddle sell, just offered to help in any way that she could to take care of me and my horse. I would call this lady ( Sharon ) a professional business woman.
