Just Plain Lucky - 2015-01-20 11:11 AM Â Honestly, I'm disgusted by the story but some of these comments...holy crap. To me marrying your DAD is a lot different than simply being gay. This forum gets more disturbing and difficult to read by the day.
You can look through your tunnel vision all you want.     Â
Take a look in the mirror. If things never changed we'd never get anywhere. TXBO: You bet I do, even if I find the particular arrangement to be disgusting. |

The only person to compare this to being gay was you.

That's exactly where you and Whiteboy were going with it. You know it, I know it, everyone reading knows it. Stop trying to be coy and own it. |

Yes I did, so since you are so disgusted that I would do that. Tell me how they differ? |

Touche'. I stand corrected.
Whiteboy's bit of truth is hardly disparaging, however. Certainly not worthy of disgust.

Those children will most like have severe disabilities... If they survive to birth and through infancy Doesn't the chance of birth defects also increase with age of the mother? Seems like we need a law to prevent that too. It does, as a woman is considered advanced maternal age at 35-37 depending upon the institution. However, the risks are still quite low.

The risks of having death or severe defect from a parent-child relationship are 31.4%. That's quite a differnce, eh? (http://www.larasig.com/node/2020)
ETA: Here's another article about a study showing that while older women are more likely to have a baby with Down's Syndrome, they are 40% less likely to give birth to a child with birth defects: http://www.medicaldaily.com/physical-defects-less-likely-babies-born-women-over-age-35-down-sydrome-still-common-268419
