Location: Somewhere between raising hell and Amazing Grace | Finally raised enough holy heck and made them take the catheter out around 2am. So I was finally able to get up and move a little and get some sleep. Surgeon just came in and confirmed that the endometriosis had not grown back being on the Lupron which is great news. That means there is a Really good chance it never will with having the hysterectomy. Unfortunately the colon is going to be an issue. We are going to give it six months to see if the adhesion will settle down. Hopefully it will. |

Location: Alabama | Hope you have a smooth recovery. The hystersisters website is very good for answering any questions. They create a thread for each week. I followed the thread of ladies that had surgery the same week I did & it was a huge relief (and disappointment) that the things I was going through were normal. The weekly threads are difficult to find, so if you can't find it, post asking where your week is. I actually went back to the site this week to see what is normal for 4 months post op. |

I also had endo and is why I had a hysterectomy many years ago. I do have adhesions but they haven't caused any real problems.
Glad to see you are on your way home. Don't even think of lifting anything and don't over due it but getting up and walking is good.
Continued prayers. |

| How are you doing today? That was an emotional procedure to handle as well as the physical aspect if it. Thinking of you. |

Location: Florida.. | Glad it all went well. Adhesions are the devil. I had 5 major stomach -intestinal surgeries and cut from top to bottom and have them bad Internally and its a struggle at times to keep them under control. riding with our core doesnt help. try to limit heavy lifting. they bleed or swell and will strangle intestines and stick to organs.. like aliens.just dont overdo for awhile.. dont push yourself.. that is what will help to not get more flamed up.. |

Location: Somewhere between raising hell and Amazing Grace | The last two days were rough. Not really super painful, just hard to get comfortable and even harder staying asleep. Today was a good day though. Spent a good part of the day away from home (hubby driving, ran some errands and just went really slow). I soooo miss my horses right now. I walked out there breifly yesterday but didn't stay long. I am hoping to be back to at least feeding them by monday. Hubby will still have to deal with stalls, tending feet, and lifting hay for 4-6 weeks.
I can already tell this was a move in the right directions. All I am dealing with now is just side affects of meds and anesthesia. Thank you everyong for the prayers and support. |
