Does anyone use ice/cold therapy before a workout/run to keep the legs tight?? When I spoke to my vet about doing this prior to workout, he said absolutely no, as it increases the chance of shearing the tendons off. Yes ^^^ To me this is a no brainer. Ice/cold makes muscles contract (shorten) Heat makes them expand (loosen) That is why we 'warm up' and 'cool down'

The way I understand it, is there's just the plain compression socks OR the compression socks with pockets on the outside that you can fill with ice. I use one of the small quart feed buckets full of ice and end up dumping ice out bc I dont use it all. Im not sure how much exactly but its not much ice.
