Just curious (not trying to steal the thread!!)... Does anyone use ice/cold therapy before a workout/run to keep the legs tight??

When I spoke to my vet about doing this prior to workout, he said absolutely no, as it increases the chance of shearing the tendons off.

Yes ^^^ To me this is a no brainer. Ice/cold makes muscles contract (shorten) Heat makes them expand (loosen) That is why we 'warm up' and 'cool down'

Do you buy both the compression socks and the ice socks?  I can't tell how they work from the website.

The way I understand it, is there's just the plain compression socks OR the compression socks with pockets on the outside that you can fill with ice. Those can still be used JUST for compression without the ice as well.

Just realized I will need ice for the Hidez wraps - no LQ can make that difficult in the summer!  But, I guess I would need a freezer even for the Ice Vibe boots....  Well, better than buying ice all the time!  Hmmmmm.....

ย I usually have a small ice chest for drinks so its easy for me. I use one of the small quart feed buckets full of ice and end up dumping ice out bc I dont use it all. Im not sure how much exactly but its not much ice.

BOT products 4 hours prior to saddle up for competition, and ice boots for 20 minutes after hard workout or competitive run.
