Ima Fickle Fan Posts: 3547 Location: Texas	I have avoided posting on these posts because I had been summoned for this trial. Thankfully, I was WAY down the list. Red Raider is right. The reason the death penalty was not sought was because of cost. The trial cost our county at least $1 million. Erath County is NOT a wealthy county. The appeals process would bankrupt our county. It was also uncovered during the trial that Routh had received almost $100,000 in VA benefits while in prison. He had a court-appointed, taxpayer paid legal team. A family member let it slip that some of the money his sister used as a downpayment on a house. Not sure where more of it went, but his mother admitted that there was only about $30,000 in the bank. The judge highly encouraged them not to touch any more of it. I am betting the county goes after the Routh family for the legal fees. If you want to read a blog that was kept during the trial, students at Tarleton State posted on www.texannews.net. You can read all the posts from the trial. I figured Obama and Holder would stick their noses in it and get him off on some "technicality". While pretending to care about soldiers with PTSD. I am very relieved and he will get what's coming to him in prison. He never saw combat. He does not have PTSD. He did convert to ****lam.

Someone like him, just serving in Iraq, whether he saw combat or not, could claim the disorder. The bleeding heart liberals reported him as having PTSD. That's how they were trying to make the case for him shooting Kyle and his buddy. So glad he's going to rot in prison, then they should show the movie when he gets there.... I've got my own conspiracy theory on the Islam part.
