| Not that she isn't an inspiring story to be able to get back on and ride after a terrible, terrible accident. But, all these "Go Fund Me" things and charity races are really getting overdone. Her dad works for the Mariners and played MLB for 9 years! He has to have had some kind of a decent paycheck from that and his current employer - the Seattle Mariners.
Horses are a luxury along with all the necessary things that go with owning them (trucks, trailers, tack, etc). I just have a hard time wrapping my mind around supporting things that are a luxury rather than necessity. JMO |

True DAT
And honestly...this particular cause sure is heartwarming. I admit I let some of the questionable fundraising make me too cynical sometimes. |

Maybe her father doesn't give her any or much money. If he did, don't you think she would already have one - since insurance DOES NOT cover chairs like this.
3 to Go, I hope you never become paralyzed and need financial help. Nobody is making anyone do anything. If you don't have anything nice to say, do not say anything at all.

Not Gunnar, Three to Go, and I totally agree. I'm sure if she could have afforded one already, she would have it. Who wouldn't want one? I hate that one of our own doesn't have a chair either and wish I could figure out a way to help her. |

That you can go outside. That insurance companies don't consider standing a luxury, like the buffoon above. That someone actually gives enough of a **** to help out someone that could use it.........I can keep going. |

yep but its medicare ssdi for me as i was not injured on the job but going to the first barrel in montgomery al.
if injured on the job workman comp pretty good. amberly injured while driving i don/t know if on ssdi or not proably it takes 2 yrs to get on
that chair is a luxury seriously you can get a manual chair that stands fr about 5500.but for amberly and othets like her to be outside that or a chair similar would be wow!!!!! but just getting it to where you want to go would be tough and you would need a regular chair.
i just wish she promote asci more and be a spokeperson for raing monies for reasrch. there are a lot of them out there like amberly have you seen the dude in xteme sport in a wheelchair he nuts |

we need a another chris reeves. he is very lucky her injury is so low that she has so much trunk control
In one of her interviews....can't remember which....she stated that she has already done some public speaking regarding her injuries, goals....etc. Additionally, the million of people watching this rodeo now have a new outlook on disabilites and overcoming those obstacles.....kudos to her.....She is truly a remarkable person and inspiration.....And a very worthy person to have a little help given to her..... |
