We crossed him on many mares in Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming and those colts were awesome. We had running bred mares that we bred him too and I still have one of his foals. She is 14 or 15 this year and is one catty fast little bugger.
We crossed him on a lot of Easy Jet and Merridoc bred mares and also a lot of cow bred mares. I ALWAYS look for this old style bred horses when I am looking. You can not beat their work ethic and heart.

When I decided to breed my mare I looked high and low for a Tinky Poo bred stud!! Never could find one so went a nother direction...but I loved that line!
We loved out Tink. Couldn't have asked for a better minded stud.
He didn't breed his first mare until he was 5. He was used for everything from reining, cutting, steer wrestling, pony race horses and we even hooked him to the chariot. My dad used him for Jr Posse and he was the best hunting horse you could have asked for. It was a very sad day when he left us.
This is the daughter that we still currently have.

| Boston Mac, Biankus, and Jet of Honor. When I first started I ran at a local saddle club that had omokeees once a month - a couple ran a mare by the name of Blazin Jennie Jet - you might know her. I give her most of the credit for her famous foal. :) She was PHENOMENAL! More grit, heart, and try than many horses I can think of. | |

| bennie1 - 2015-03-06 11:14 AM So, all the talk about 'fashionable' or 'name brand' bloodlines has me reminiscing... What bloodlines were popular for running barrels in days of yore, in your area? Seems like before cooled transported semen, bloodlines stayed a lot more regional. In my area, in the mid 80's, you were stepping in high cotton if you had a Flit Bar Beggar horse. A girl in KS had one she won all over with, Including at Josey's Junior World, and there were several others that were really nice in the northeast OK, Southeast Ks, southwest Mo and Northwest Ar area. I remember Night Bids and Cat Bids being nice horses. I remember a couple nice Me Quick Too horses. There were quite a few arena horses that went back to Go Man Go, Harlan, Bert and Oklahoma Star, of course back always in the pedigree. So, who were the superstars in your area?
My first "real" barrel horse was a son of Flit Bar Beggar! I absolutely loved him. One summer, I did every jr rodeo event on him: barrels, poles, goat tying and breakaway roping. And instead of getting worn down, that gritty sucker got tougher to beat as the summer went on. He won me countless all around saddles, buckles, you name it. He took me clear through my second year of college, then I sold him to a 10 year old girl, so he could get a chance to "raise" another girl :) He's still around, 23 years young, sound, and looks phenomenal.
Also, my dad bred a lot of local mares to this stud in the 80s and early 90s; boy, he was a GOOD looking dude: http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/maudies+marauder

Location: Peg-Leg Julia Grimm | Anything Biankus, Jet Of Honor, lots of random bloodlines because "barrel horses" came from other industries dropouts. But these were the better known ones. Juno Dat Cash, Β Moon Dimmer, Dinner Flight, Givemalickin, Wranglers Ridge, Kiptys Charger, Tonto Bar, Royal Go Go, Merridoc, too many Three Bars sons to name. I know I'm forgetting some. Β Β
There were several good speed event horses by a stud named Ima Reb in my backyard (Oregon). Β Most of them were raced and then they went to the gymkana (games) people for speed event horses. Also Destiny Win had bunch of speed event horses in Washington state. Β The mare I owned all her life and was my best horse ever combined the two lines.Β http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/oh+ima+lady

I had a grandson of Joak. Never had any problem winning anywhere I went. We had a lot of judged shows around here and he would win western pleasure and horsemanship before we ran barrels and poles.
