| The first thing I noticed is that it is a Platinum. No a little bit more is not gonna get you a new PLATINUM trailer. The second thing I thought is how much better it would look if it was acidized. Take it to the truck was and have them acidize it and it will look brand new. I don't know why but some people looking at trailers don't know the quality brands. Mine is an Elite but my trainer has a Platinum and it has been pulled a lot.
I would keep it because you are probably going go wish you had the features that you like in that trailer. |

Yeah, I paid almost $70,000 new! I know you are probably right, I am SURE the instant it is gone, I'll miss it but on the other hand, I guess I just feel "guilty" not hauling it as much as I should.
My dad is in a nursing home 100 miles from me, so I drive there every weekend to see him and deal with his place, paperwork, etc. I just have had other priorities besides hauling.
Thank you for the nice words, Streaky. |

Location: Kansas (but Great Lakes member since 1978) | Keep it, as you'll wish you had it later and why take a beating on it just cause you feel you aren't using it enough. You'll have to pay way more to get another one later. You never know from one day to the next how your life will change. However, if you are dead set on selling it here are a few suggestions that will get a little more interest in it.
Oak is beautiful but the "in" wood in alder. Go to Home Depot and get the new Rustoleum product that you can use to easily change the wood style in your trailer to the darker color. It works great and not a horrible process.
Take pictures that show more room (back off and make everything look more spacious. Put some colorful throw pillows on the couch like turquoise in order to get it more "pop". Add some sort of setting to the counter top to make it look more like a show home, wine glasses or some sort of interesting display.
Empty the tack compartment to make it look bigger and let people imagine their own stuff in it.
Make sure everything is absolutely spotless in the pictures and think about how you see model homes in pictures, staged.
I really think you should keep it like I said before....a $20,000 or maybe even more loss is silly when it's not a huge trailer and downsizing really isn't going to do that much for you size wise. You bought quality and it will last a very long time and sitting isn't hurting it one bit. |

YAY!! Go Cindy!! That is much better. All the info that was missing is there now. When I saw the origional ad, I had no idea how wide it was, or long it was or anything. I also didnt realise there was a walk through door from the bathroom into the horse area.Is there a cooktop in the kitchen area? I also really like the reverse swing tack room door. |

Location: Do I hear Banjos? | Definitely like the updated details on the features. It has more than was clear in the ad before. It's a nice set up for sure.
But...are the newly added pictures current? It looks like the plastic is still on everything...and that makes me think they are pictures taken when it was new 3 years ago?...not what condition it is actually in now? |

Location: where ever my L/Q trl is parked | you need to add what length the short wall is.... it looks like a 8'sw, but pictures are decieving so actual length is a must. I hate selling things, I've been trying to sell a nice buckskin mare lots of inquiries, but only one actual looker. So as the others state be patience. |

12' short wall was in there, but I did go back and add it to the main part where it's seen when all the ads are pulled up, plus I added it to the top of the description as well as in the middle where the LQ specs start...excellent idea, it needed that for emphasis...
I took off the picture with the plastic on the mattress...oops....and yes, I cheated a little and added the pictures I took of the rear tack and horse part when it was new, but she can detail it to get it back to that look easily....and yes, some colorful decor would dress it up....and it's never a good idea to sell a new trailer before you've had it 5 years to let the price increases catch up....it's the cheapest one on there for the year and size with no generator in a high end brand...personally, I agree with the others here and would keep it a while longer.....
I tried to make the pictures larger, but I'm no computer geek and can't make it work... |

Location: Do I hear Banjos? | Unless my browser is not refreshing well...there are still several pictures of the trailer when it was brand new with plastic on stuff. (TV/toilet etc) And the ad text reads "Nearly New"...so folks might be expecting it to actually be like that since the pictures are not dated or have any mention of them being when it was actually new.
I get it...because I'm reading this here...and they are good pictures that show the layout etc. BUT...not knowing all of this...it's a bit deceiving. As a buyer...I want to see what it looks like NOW.
Great trailer and one I'd be proud to haul down the road in the nice shape it's in...I'm just playing devil's advocate since the OP wanted opinions. We all know there's no shorage of them to be had here! |

Just saw a new Elite for $175,000. Big difference there....laughing. A bunch of ropers were arguing or who actually had enough money to pay for it. |

Gosh, I had no idea about keeping it for 5 years. I kept thinking "the longer I keep it, the more it will depreciate."
I'm glad I don't HAVE to sell it and I thank ALL of you for the thoughts/advice. Shoot, even if I don't sell it, I think it needs some colorful pillows and an acid wash! |

Location: Florida.. | The new ad looks good. It looks identical to my 4star.. width and everything.. I paid alot more for it but it was brand new so i think your at a good price range.. I just think the first ad if it wasnt clean that would be a no for me. I prefer trailers to look cleaned.. and taken care of. also I was going to say take it to a trailer dealer and consign it.. sometimes the higher end trailers sell better that way.. |

I've thought about that but I'd need a trailer in the meantime and since I'm not desperate to sell, I guess I'll just relax and wait until the right buyer comes along.
