Right hind. Β He's not pulling it underneath himself. Β I would have hocks checked and go from there, since that is most common.Β 

Β  I hope it's just a bit of hock arthritis. We were just about to start prepping this horse to sell when he came up lame. At least hocks can be managed.

Xray that stifle..... Just got back from the vet. we were so fixated on our mares scar on her ankle I never thought to check it.... Her stifle is trashed... fractures/bone chips. We know when it happened but not how or why so bad. So she is full on retired now (been semi retired for 3 years and was just rode once just before she got this hurt). NOT that your gelding is that bad! Im just sad lol.

 That is awful! I hope that's not the case with my gelding. We can't afford to keep a useless horse around. We board.
