Location: In the land of peanuts and cotton | I went and saw it and LOVED it. I love a movie with a good love story. Nicholas Sparks did good with this one. The Notebokk was my favorite but this one is better. I cry at the end of the Notebook every time and I cried at the end of this one. |

| I have seen it, and echo the above on how umm, sexy Scott Eastwood is and I was pleasantly surprised at how good the movie actually was. I read the book first and was expecting to be disappointed, but not a bit! While there is some added parts in the movie and a bit of a different 'twist' to things, it was overall a VERY good movie. Scott did a good job playing the role of Luke, and whoever they used for Sophia was exactly how I had pictured her in the book. Well worth seeing, but bring a tissue. Tear jerker for sure! As for the high water pants.......umm as a fellow rider those pants may look okay walking around town in, but they do NOT work for riding....much too short and you could see when he rode (rather awkwardly I may add). Died laughing when he went to slap Sophia's horse and looked to about fall off....the camera angle changed right after that, so he very well may have! lol |

After the Notebook...I haven't watched another of his movies. I hate sad endings!! Sounds like this one has a sad ending too? Ugh
I watch movies to be entertained. That means no horror movies and no sad endings.
City of angels was a great movie up to a point... I just can't enjoy being brought to tears..No FUN.
I still havent unwrapped the copy of "My Dog Skip" a well meaning relative bought me years ago. I know it has a sad ending...so I won't watch it!
Give me a happy movie!

Usually not a big chick flick person but the story line was good, it didn't make the rodeo stuff too cheesy and Scott Eastwood is very pretty. I also heard more diving in that theater than in any other movie I've ever been to, which was kinda funny. OK now whats diving mean? Oh for corn's sake. My phone is out to get me today. I was trying to say sobbing.
I certainly didn't hear any sobbing. I heard a woman say she had to go pee quite a few times..LOL |

First movie I went toΒ in over 30 some years. I thought we were going to see a movie about a PBR bullrider.Β It has 2 story lines and was too hokey for me but I'm also not into love stories. My first big turn off was when they had Eastwood wearing flood pants. With Ariat being plastered all over the movie, why couldn't they put him in decent jeans that were stacked? The best thing about the movie was there were only about a total of maybeΒ 10 people in the whole theatre and the next best thing was Eastwood. Β
LOL,,, thats such a turnoff for me too seeing someone wearing highwater pants with boots.
Yep gotta have that slouch in em-----sexy! |

| John Wayne made a few movies where he was wearing high water waders and they were rolled up! At the time it wasn't odd to see cowboys wearing jeans that were short. I always feel like a dude when my jeans aren't barely above/or in the dirt. |

Hmmmm.... I was really looking forward to seeing this movie. Maybe I'll just stick with having read the book......
I really think you need to go see the movie and form your own opinion. I've seen it twice. |

JMO I agree, I think the last of the better westerns was Young Guns, Lonesome Dove. The newer ones just dont have that punch to them. Tom Selleck made some really good ones tho. Like Quigley Down Under, now these were made years ago
