Location: In The Snow, AZ | I got "stuck" to the horn, bobbled all around, ran a 19 something rather. Was upset with myself and crummy run. So we went home (3 hour drive). Turned out I pulled a check for $125 or something in the 4D. But since I didn't stay to pick it up, I don't get it. They won't send it. LOL. |

I wasn't even in Oklahoma by the time it happened. After my run we packed up and left because a .1 or even an .0 usually wins the finals. We were already at the Texas line when my friend called to tell me the last ten runners were running and she let me listen through my cellphone. Heartbreaker! but hey that's barrel racing(gambling). |

The winning time was a 15.340..........I ran a 16.339!!! Yep, 1/1000th off of winning $8135.00. It wasn't a great run for my mare as she flew waaaay past first so I wasn't really expecting anything but dang, it is still painful to think about it even today. I have been in the last hole many, many times but that was a lot of money to see be that friggin close. Congrats to the woman from Colorado that did win it though. I was happy to make it back to the finals and win a decent check for that. CrossDRanch, it is a real crap shoot, though. Ohh, that hurts!!

Oh - gotcha! I'm pretty sure the BBR would send checks especially since people come from so far away to enter. |

Yes, yes it is.  Y'all in Kansas would use the shorter version:  Crappy. Not to be confused with crappie.Â
I say 'crapola $hitola' or 'ducky sucky crap' lol |

I suppose I could have gotten it on my cellphone(I'm not tech savvy-ATALL) but I was driving and I-35 was a nightmare, as usual. I also just never thought a .3 would win so I honestly didn't even consider it. My friend called me and said, "A .4 is winning with only 10 to go." I was shocked and then Allie ran the 15.340 and I thought, "I just need a tiny bump!" It just wasn't meant to be. |

Oops, sorry I didn't specify. I'm a dumbdumb sometimes. Yes, it was just a race in AZ. |

LJ, yes I am "Miss Unlucky" as of late! You got to experience my luck first hand since it was you on the phone. Blah! Of course, you know, my luck has gone this way for the past couple of years.

Location: East Texas | Well, after the flood waters went down this morning we did not have the best run(may even qualify as craptastic), but maybe it will be slow enough to get in the 4D. Now to roll the dice and hope the winning time gets us in. |

Location: run2win land | At BBR I was one of the last runners in race #2. Needed a .293 and my horse ran .239. Couldn't believe it that I had the right #'s but wrong order. A few years ago I lost a saddle by 1/1000th. I'VE never won a saddle and all my friends kept watching. Everyone thought I won it and it turns out we missed the run that ran 1/1000th quicker. Instead I won a turnout sheet. Heckofa comedown. Oh well, its just the nature of the D business. |
