I've been a die hard Caldwell person for years but I do like this saddle and will probably purchase another one within the year. Which Caldwell does it compare to in horse fit? My Tami regular fit is similar to the TG.
I bought it to use on my 3 and 4 year olds.
Then that really limits the amount of horses it will work for as the TG is the narrowest of all the Caldwells. |

| Does anyone know if you can purchase a BW tree separately (not the saddle, just the tree) from Jeff Smith?
I should just put in a call for that I guess lol

Location: NE Texas | I do love my saddles, I have two that are identical. I will say that this particular saddle isn't made for a horse that is super wide through the shoulders. It fits all my horses very nicely, but I do ride a few outside horses now and again and they are alot rounder than mine and I find that this tree doesn't fit them particularly well.
The BW tree can probably be found through the tree makers like Hadlock & Fox. There are only a handful of saddle tree makers in the US. |

I LOVE this saddle everytime I see it! |

The Tami comes in a wide tree also. I don't happen to have that one so I don't know what it would compare to. I mostly am riding young horses that aren't completely grown up and filled out yet, therefore I purchased the regular fit tree as the wide one would not fit anything I am riding. |
